Also has been modified the end of the Tula Stage, with 2 new kms never been ran.

Strong entry list.

I think some people make way too much of problems in the WRC. The entry lists don't show that....

My Sardegna preview. Some new stuff again, I think SS2 will be interesting on the second pass, there's some very narrow and rough sections in there. I think the Monte Lerno stage this year has a great layout also

Interesting comment from Tänak to Estonian media. He admitted the i20's balance is towards understeering and the effect is larger, when the roads are slippy. It doesn't suit his driving style and he has driven already such a long time and is not able to fully adapt to it anymore.

I’m telling ya. If he ever gets a car that works like he wants, we will see 2018-2019 Tänak again (there’s been glimpses of it this season). Since 2020 he has been driving cars that doesn’t suit him 100%.

It was hard to understand from all the commentators talking over them, but as far I heard Ott was telling basically the same thing: "If you mess up with the notes, I'ill loose my rythm". There was some more converisation, but this was already inaudible. It seems it happened somewhere in the middle of the stage, when the splits were a bit off. Towards the end of the stage it got better again.

He would, Tanak was good in the last part. But we can't proof that

jonkka
7th June 2025, 08:27
Whatever time Ogier gets, it's rather academic if Tanak continues at this pace because he'll get the lead anyway. Ogier was already five seconds down on Tanak by split seven and his advantage over Tanak was 11 seconds.

Fourmaux being stupid and stubborn as usual, if you get the puncture a kilometre or two before the end, sure why not? carry on, but it’s in the beginning of the stage, you’re gonna lose the time anyways, this way he lost 30-40 seconds from carrying the tyre and then more time to change it…Honestly we can hand the trophy to Toyota in Estonia…

archie106
7th June 2025, 09:04
I don't think it was that stupid, the Hankooks have been remarkably resilient towards punctures and on a number of occasions this year drivers have driven a fair distance with a tyre off the rim without further issues.

In hindsight he should have stopped earlier, but lesson learned.

On EWRC Ogier has got a new Nominal time for SS 8, 15:31:9 puts him 15 secs in the lead after SS 9, although i haven't seen any official information about that .

Just seen a new COC Notification for this;

The Clerk of the Course,
• having received a request from competitor No. 17 to consider the allocation of a new time for SS 8,
where they were delayed by car No. 16 which had stopped at km 17.4 to change a flat tyre and then
restarted in front of car No. 17
• having reviewed the live on-board video from car No. 17
• having examined the split times set by competitor No. 17 in SS 8
• having examined the tracking data available on cars No. 8 and 17 at km 17.1
• after due consideration
APPLIES

These two rallies have been such a dejavu from last season. Ogier won in Portugal last year because of Tanaks puncture and this year because of power steering.

And now Sardinia, last year the gap before Sunday was 17 seconds to Ogier and now it is 11 seconds while Tanak has had a broken damper and a slow puncture. On Sunday last year Tanak got the gap down to 6 seconds before the power stage.

Let’s see tomorrow how it plays out this year

I don't think it makes them bad since we're comparing them to possibly the GOAT of this sport.

Rovanpera is a proven double world champion who is the only driver that has the potential to eclipse 2 Sebs. He is already one of the greatest rally drivers ever at 24. I don't think he ever will be better than 2 Sebs when he finishes his career (in terms of peak performance) and that is okay.

Evans also made Ogier work for 2 seasons 2020 and 2021. Those were exciting battles to watch.
