Kalle again nails it:

"Our tyre package is quite OK. Still the last one is going to be tricky as it always full ice and there you need good tyre, so let's see who has the best ones for it"

EstWRC
14th February 2025, 16:05
What he nailed ?

I doubt he will win like 20 seconds with the last stage. 10 yes, maybe.

Last year Evans was slowest rally1 on Friday nights Umea stage and lost 5 seconds to the winner.

Something tells me Tanak is thinking about the road position tomorrow.

Nope, tires gone

EstWRC

Neuville pushed a lot on that long stage and still had tires in the end

Tanak and Neuville much better after the lunch, Fourmaux kinda faded

EstWRC

So Taka and Neuville who pushed a lot on the longest stage still had tires in the end and were the fastest after lunch

Evans has done well so far, but I think opening the next stage will also hurt, and the one after that will hurt a bit less. So he's up against it. But if he could end the day third or fourth and within 10 seconds, then with the running order for tomorrow...

Well. That was quite impressive, Elfyn.

What can we expect from conditions tomorrow? More likely to be an advantage for the front runners or for the late runners?

No, I meant just he gave a clear summary of the tyre strategy playing out.

It was actually nip and tuck for the top guys this afternoon, up and down stage by stage, with maybe Neuville and Katsuta making the best gains.

I am really not sure. Before the race we expected early cars to have the advantage from Saturday onwards. But we also expected that for the last of the three stages on the Friday loop it's not really what I saw.

Serderidis must be one of the absolute worst gentleman drivers ever.

Of course it is good to see one more Rally1 and Thanks him for sponsoring Munster. Maybe there was no more M-Sport without Serderidis funding, but Yes - his is the worst gentleman driver ever.

No need to go OTT.

https://www.ewrc-results.com/profile/595-jose-alberto-nicolas/

It wasn't exactly unheard of to have privateers/gentlemen drivers being 5-7 seconds slower pr km than the fastest before either, but we did not have all live, so we just got the highlight-packages and there were 5-10 drivers in the M-Sport drivers range as well.

Serderidis..?
Already understood from long time ago that lack of money makes people critize others.
Serderidis don't pay to be shown on AllLive.

Not his fault that others have to ride rental electric scooters..

He is competing with no one, so it's not point of driving for such amount of money. There is masters cup, but we can all agree he would be the last everytime. It's just funny he has all the money and still can't get some expert crew to prepare him a little better... Or he is really that bad, that after all these years he still didn't figure out how to enter the turns (impulse breaking and gas)

It's just he has the possibility to use the best car and enjoy the sport and life. He isn't begging money from others.

That's why Craig was one the best characters in the WRC. Almost all drivers are more or less constantly complaining for various things. Ostberg was one too who was always smiling. We could say Sesks is now the star of the show. But we will see if the things will change if he will be in the championship for various years.

It's the same wise versa, when drivers who are fighting at the end say many things (like intercom problems, no grip, some technical issues), but t the end they probably don't have anything wrong at all, just to mess the heads of others.

I think Evans can take this, he was fast all weekend and had 2 mistakes in the last 2 stages, but unless he screws up, I think he can win it on speed.
We'll have to see if Hyundai manages to fix Tanak's issue, if it's even possible. With 12 seconds gap it would not be easy to get the win, though.
