Yes, it's him. That time he was Škoda Motorsort driver. I even know on which stage it was because we were spectating there (Pluto was there too) :)

@PLuto is there some special reason wh Halenkovice as a PS? To be honest I would prefer some classic forest stage to be the PS. Halenkovice represent more that type of stages which you tend not to use anymore.

It is not easy to find proper stage for power stage, especially because you need after finish enough place for power stage podium. First year it was Pindula as power stage, but for 2023 we needed to change the direction of stage. And close to finish there was not good place for podium. So we started to search and found Halenkovice for 2023. We have prolongued with road through Belov and I think it was very good stage with everything. For this year, we were asked by promoter to repeat the same stage as powerstage.

It's not that bad stage but for me it's just too different from the typical modern Barum character which is more about hills and forests in the east. It also feels somewhat artificial because it doesn't have any own character except being a bit of everything.

For promoter it is also important to have easy access to last two kms of stage (to put there static cameras) and also it is good if this part is interesting to watch. And I think that last part of stage around motocross track is exactly what they need. Plus podium ceremony on main square close to stop point with not so bad background.
