Only on the WRC the crews must use the country of their passport. Other championships they use the country of their license.

Feofanov is OK but Gryazin is not? Aren't his tyres (and other materials) supplied to Toksport, is that more likely the strained relationship if there is one? Like I can understand if Rzhevkin was dealing through Russian business/bank would be easy to stop, but denying service based on nationality is pretty illegal under EU law and against the spirit of FIA rules. Then imagine if the war ends tomorrow, "It's OK Mr. Russian, you can now buy our tyres again", yeah right!

Judging from the first 3 stages there will be no domination. Herczig is 9th, Campedelli 12th and Llarena down in the 25th position.

This year, Rally-base is not officially responsible for ERC results. It is SAS which is used also in WRC. As there were no times from free practice for long time, I have started to go through service and collect the times from FP and write them manually to the system. To have at least something...

Yes.. that’s not good enough. The All-Live coverage is obviously a vast improvement on what Eurosport offered before but it’s behind a paywall. To grow the visibility of the championship they need to offer more FTA.

My thoughts on this opening event of the season:

+ Solans, a great performance and a fully deserved win. I hope he is able to do the full season!

+ All-Live coverage was very good (aside from some sound-synching issues)

- Quite a poor entry list

- The promoter need to raise their Youtube game. They have plenty of footage but anybody without WRC+ is unlikely to see it.

- MRF drivers/teams underperformed here. All three are solid drivers, although not top-drawer like they had last year. Maybe the tyres don't work too well in wet/muddy conditions.

Basically, organiser didn't respect the timing that was published in the SR. Podium was earlier than it should have been, according to original schedule.
