Simple: current number twos are juniors and are against senior number ones. In the past second and even third drivers were almost as good as number ones.

Okk no point for being sad that Marcus is down to Loeb again. The French guy has his lucky star! Everything goes his way in rallying!
Even when bad luck stroke him last braking his hand still got the title !
He got into the C4 and from day 1 is faster than the Xsara and still bloody reliable! The team has created such a positive dynamic letting him focus on his driving. And ofcourse he is rocket fast, making the combination unbeatable. And the times he is not as fast as Gron something is going to happen to the Fin! Not to mention the Solberg chapter! Subaru gave him a title and then made him a contract not to dream for another! http://digilander.libero.it/le.faccine/faccinea/cartelli/statici/1220.gif
Aaaaaaaa and after the 3rd stage I was hoping that we would watch something different this weekend! http://www.cheesebuerger.de/images/smilie/konfus/c010.gif

At least Acropolis approaching! Gron fans we are going to steel Loeb's carhttp://www.eshock.es/forum/style_emoticons/default/diablotin.gif

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jari-Matti Latvala has retired from the Rally d'Italia Sardegna 2007 after going off the road on SS6. Reports indicated that he was taking a fast right hander when a male spectator distracted Latvala with shouting and waving of his balls. "He was just there, with his pants around his legs, waving his diddlies around like crazy...I just lost concentration and missed the turn." One more time. There was no fan.

In the first loop of the day, Latvala took one left corner too wide in SS Terranova. When he drove it the second time, he tried to take it more tight and hit his front left wheel in stone which broke track arm or something. Long story short, he couldn't continue with the car.

Seriously, I'm scared of this forum. Does all the **** go through here and people believe without questioning ????

I bet some folks still believe there really was a bear in Japan putting rocks on Petter's way

GigiGalliNo1
19th May 2007, 10:03
with VS, theres nothing LIVE but they do do reviews from previous rallies comparing two cars but only for a few secs like between 15-30seconds... last time i checked. (a few months back)

During the Jordan rally, the Jordanians organized with Google Earth, like I posted a thread earlier about GPS, each car was able to be tracked in LIVE time, with the stages marked, their speeds and location updated every 30 secs! It was great.

Yeah, Malcom is very intelligent he knows what his team is capable.

So better to capitalise on manufacturer's championship than on Driver's championship.

Maybe time to award points for each day... so each rally becames 3 rallys.. :)

I don't like the idea of that because I see the Australian Rally Champs have this, only a two day rally split up into heats.... at the end of each day the leaderboard is then split into a top 10 with points and then they tally the points... to me it makes no sence point wise so I'm not going to agree with you there! To some extent I agree with this. There is nobody (at least in the right car) that can keep up with Loeb. He simply is the fastest driver and has the right car. Bosse doesn't seem to have as much motivation these days as he used to have. Hirvonen is a superb driver but at present no where near Loeb's pace. Who can challenge Loeb? Ford's spare wheel location wouldn't be such an ingenious solution should that happen. And if it won't happen now, it might sooner or later, it's a vulnerable position of a sorts to have a spare wheel in.

I am just astonished that his keeps happening.

Raies lost his spare wheel on the super special in Mexico, and Wilson lost his towards the end of a stage in NZ.

I think there is a safety issue here. The incident with Raies in Mexico could easily have been very nasty indeed.

Clearly the design of the spare wheel housing is flawed. How long will it be til the stewards tell Ford to sort it out?

One reason for the lack of action this year is because Marcus and timo are so strongly sticking on their strategy. They try to catch every point possible which basicly means they ease off and don't risk 8 points for trying to get full 10. Previous years Marcus should have done so but he didn't.

Then again..

Marcus couldn't catch Loeb even if he tried to push 110 % to the finish.

Molempi parempi.

I just watched Day1 on tv. Marcus looks much grim-er than usual. :(
The WRC is getting worse and worse everyday.
For some reason I think that in 2004 if Marcus was using his head and the whale was ok, he would have been better than Loeb. Now it just seems hopeless.
Next year, it will be worse. No Marcus. Loeb wins 14 rallies, Mikko and Petter win one each is the best we can hope for; unless by some merical Marcus can be campion this year, and shatter Loeb's confidence. Otherwise we will be stuck with Loeb for another 5 years... Till WRC is bankrupt.
