My fav track of the season. I love the track up to the melbourne loop which spoils the rythmn a little.

Anyway, hopefully Ill be taking some more points off Vuko.

RR wins the race to submit times first once again

If my buddy Luffield can stay away from BATracer and keep viruses away from his PC he'll be joining me at TEAM EGG for this round...

Ummmmm.. not quite 48 hours until the deadline, and only one set of times thus far... :(

I will do my races today!!!

May be a chance for me to get ahead of Vuko. ;) Maybe now tannat is in a Vauxhall it could become a 3 horse race for the title.

Just sent my times in for Rd 4. Got the Alfa going quite well but not really sur e what the pace will be. I'm finding it a little difficult to get into these cars after TRD3, but they are still enjoyable.

Touch and go as to whether I manage to get my races done.

The next problem that may occur is the xbox 360 I'm getting for christmas, which might mean I pull out my PS2 and replace it with the 360. I'll hopefully try and get as many rounds done as possible-but we shall see.

Done two of my races, just got race 3 to run and i'll send them in :)

Will run my own races tonight. Need to do a bit more testing in the Vauxhall, as I'm still 2 seconds off my best lap in the Alfa. No worries-I've opened no times yet, and will not do so until I've completed my races.

Vauxhall seems to pull a bit better than the Alfa with untouched gearing, and is more stable. but understeers more as well (YUKKK!)

I'll try and get times in before 5pm thursday (today) if I can't they will definatly be in on Friday. ;)

Dammit, im going to have to miss this round too :( no time (and failure to keep checking the forum by me :s )

Sorry!

22nd December 2006, 21:46
I just done my times. I couldn't get a set-up on the Alfa, damn thing just wanted to understeer! :(

I don't think the Alfa has as high top speed as the Vauxhall so tannat could break the winning streak between Vuko and I.

I'll be posting results shortly, but they'll be unofficial without times as I need someone to resubmit times...

tannat
23rd December 2006, 07:06
Well, the story is much the same as previously for each race (this time with Peter Vuko as the winner), but the real story will be revealed when the times are posted. The sunny races were very close amongst the top 3, the rainy race a bit less so..

3-Tannat
4-BM
5-Chris Finch

Race 2

1-Peter Vuko

Race 3

OH nuts! Beaten again. Vuko is too fast on the short 3 lap sprints. Can we have an enduro? :cheese:

Where are RR results? Did he cause an upset?

Semi-official as racer69 says above he has finished races, but I've yet to receive his times. He's not answering my PMs (on holiday, I'll bet), but I'll honor his times when he does submit.

RACE 1: Squeaker of a race with less than 1.5 seconds covering the Alfa duo of Vuko/Brown and the Team EGG Vauxhall of Tannat. 4th goes to the MG of BM followed by the factory Vauxhall of Chris Finch...

1--Peter Vuko--------Alfa Romeo----4:10.65-----1:21.51
2--Jon Brown---------Alfa Romeo----4:11.03-----1:21.10
3--Tannat-------------Vauxhall(EGG)-4:12.08-----1:21.54
4--BM-----------------MG--------------4:25.90-----1:26.44
5--Chris Finch--------Vauxhall--------4:36.87-----1:29.89

RACE 2: Another thrilling finish at Donington, albeit with the same order.
This team Peter Vuko had a small bit of breathing room (1.33 seconds !!) between himself and teammate Jon Brown, who felt a mild bit of heat from the Vauxhall of Tannat just 34/100ths adrift at the line. The MG of BM and Vauxhall of Chris Finch maintained race 1 finishing order.

1--Peter Vuko-----Alfa Romeo-----4:10.01-----1:21.35
2--Jon Brown-----Alfa Romeo------4:11.34-----1:21.12
3--Tannat---------Vauxhall(EGG)---4:11.68-----1:22.38
4--BM--------------MG---------------4:30.84-----1:25.59
5--Chris Finch-----Vauxhall----------4:38.41-----1:29.06

tannat
23rd December 2006, 17:52
RACE 3:Peter Vuko wins in the wet, with still a small margin between himself and teammate Jon Brown (just over 1.5 seconds). Tannat a bit further back, nearly 5 seconds behind Vuko, with BM and Chris Finch kindly swapping places from the previous 2 races to thwart the monotony!

1--Peter Vuko-----Alfa Romeo-----4:15.74------1:23.32
2--Jon Brown------Alfa Romeo------4:17.32-----1:23.58
3--Tannat---------Vauxhall(EGG)---4:20.56-----1:24.54
4--Chris Finch------Vauxhall--------4:39.59-----1:31.66
5--BM--------------MG------------4:45.13------1:32.27

Driver's and Manufacturer's points later :D

Thanks for participating!!

Looking back I have some regrets about this round. We made some mistakes at the esses which cost us about 20 mph in exit speed.

Also, this is the one circuit where I found a benefit for using a manual gearbox (I used the auto for this round).

If anything, hopefully this round will serve notice to the Alfas that their domination is threatened a bit....

I had a faster lap than Vuko in the dry races so I bet I lost the race at the start! I got into scraps with cars going down the craners in both rounds. :(

Missed this one but i've signed a deal to take up the 2nd Egg Sport Astra for the remainder of the season so i'll be seeing you all next time out.

In the mean time Merry Christmas to you all.

Very happy but a little surprised with the 3 wins. I was very consistent in all the races. I was much faster in the wet than I expected. J.B looks to have been the fastest car but you need consistency to win these sprints. Merry Xmas to all!!

My excuse for not getting closer to top 3? I did the races very quickly (or slowly in actual fact! :D ) so hopefully I'll be closer next time - well done guys and Merry Christmas!!

Tannat, can we have the details for the next rounds please?

check me out-fourth overall.

It sure helps getting your races in. My 360 is still being used with the downstairs tv at the mo-so this round should not be a problem to do.

I'm not in with a shout anymore after missing so many rounds but hopefully I can take some points of those alfa's in the remaining rounds.

My pc is working fine again now so I'm good to go.

See you at Oulton Park tannat.
