Warm-up rally for Arctic WRC for Hyundai.
Why not more teams want to test the Pirellis and cars on snow is a bit strange, but might be Covid related.

Toyota already tested enough in Arctic Lapland Rally, as well as two test days per driver in Finland (one Central Finland and one in Lapland). M-Sport probably cannot afford extra testing.

Typical end over end damage. There’s no rollcage in the rear so it shortens quickly. Just like Veiby in Finland 2017.

It’s a Printsport car (it even reads on the car). Maybe they can use their own instead?

interesting to watch the times now in the sense that Tänak said at mid-day service they will change the gearboxes with Thierry, and now Thierry shows better speed but of course cant make any conclusions from this cause its pure testing rally.

other than that, they commented in the morning that the second passes were very hard with a lots of lines from the different cars and now on SS5 ja and SS6 they said it was also very difficult with loose snow on top, Thierry mentioning he had some "interesting" moments

@llluis555

The 135.5 km/h avg. speed by Tanak/Järveoja at #RallyOtepää SS4 would be 2nd fastest stage in WRC Champ. (2017-21), after the 137.8 km/h by the same duo at @RallySweden
'17 SS9. But Rovanperä/Halttunen set 143.9 km/h at @Arcticrally
'20 SS9. - Data from @eWRCresults

Was any there any reason on why Tänak won with such a big margin? Or is Ott just getting the hang of the i20 better and better.

Some reasons may have been that Tänak driving ,,home'', Neuville starting first and parts exchanging.

After they swapped gearboxes for last 4 stages, Neuville was close to Tänak(except last stage).

If there was home advantage it was first four stages. 5-8 were pretty much totally new stages mostly run on very narrow Forest roads.

Tanak has "big job" ahead to beat Toyota in WRC's Arctic Rally Finland

"There was a test plan before the event and everybody respected it," he continued. "Everybody was able to try all the [new] parts which more or less had limited availability [previously], but now for the rally everybody knows what he [the driver] likes and what is going to be on the car."

Also interesting that Printsport has two Polo R5's but the other is likely reserved for gentleman driver Rakan Al-Ashed. Lappi was going to use another Finnish-owned Polo in the first place.

Yes, Printsport usually don´t own "their" cars.
#7A is Estonian car nowadays. #87 is "Kari Hämäläinen" car.
