[FR] Rallye Alsace-Vosges 2007...

Next week is the 2nd event of french tarmac rallies championship(after an exciting Lyon-Charbonnières weeks ago) held in far east of France(not far from Germany and Belgium) ;)


Already today, official entrylist has been released, and it looks damn exciting too :bounce:

Note a few foreign drivers on the list like any from Switzerland(Jaquillard, Esposito, Baillif), Germany(Beck, Jene) and Spain(Nafria)...

Two Cups will run on this rally, the famous one, Peugeot 206 Cup, but also the very new in France, Suzuki Swift Cup(very interesting to follow) :)

Of course, a few Porsche GT will run again, with Delecour and Nantet as drivers who have the most chances to get in top 10 positions :p :


EDIT: three S2000 are also on the list, two Fiat Grande Punto and a 207... ;)

Nice to see that Benoít Rousselot is back and with a competitive car!

After his experiences in Dakar he is back in rallying.. I consider him a good rally driver.

Let's see what he can do with a 207 S2000.

Also note that Jean-Manuel Beuzelin's team("B" of BSA :p : )will come to this rally with three cars, two whales(championship leader David Salanon and Dany Snobeck, a gentleman driver who comes from Rallycross too) and the 207... ;)

Sorry, I couldn't write more about this event, as I was absent from my home since last wednesday(no computer, no internet)... :mark:

Fight for the overall victory was absolutely fantastic, with Jean-Marie Cuoq and Patrick Henry exchanging lead several times during the two days race, and being separated by a margin o 3.6s after the 200km rally(divided in 13 very difficult stages) !!!! :bounce:

Jean-Marie Cuoq had to strongly attack in the last stage to take a "whale" deserved( :laugh: )victory !!!

In the Michelin trophy, the fight between Eric Mauffrey(306 Maxi) and Patrick Rouillard(Celica GT)was undecided until the final stage too, as the Toyota driver had a puncture, losing almost 2 minutes... !!!
So victory for Mauffrey, ahead of Rouillard and Nantet(winner of the GT class in his Porsche)...

François Delecour in the other Porsche(winner of the class in Lyon-Charbo)had to retire following serious engine problems...

First winner in the newly coming in France Suzuki Swift Cup, Cyril Audirac ahead of Pierre Marché and Camille Henry...

The 206 Cup was also very disputed, but finally tarmac specialist Frank Véricel had a logical victory, in front of youngsters Sébastien Ogier and Denis Millet...
German Karl-Friedrich Beck fought for podium places since the start of the rally, but finally finished 4th overall...

Promising french tarmac debut for Spanish David Nafria who ended 6th overall in the Cup... :)


Sadly, the rally was also shadowded by the death of a lady-spectator who was hit by a car which went off the road... ;(

I remember Dany Snobeck from the Andros Trophy that was broadcasted by Eurosport a few years ago. He was a successful ice racer, wasn't he?

Snobeck, a gentleman driver??? He comes from rallycross?? Yeah right! Have a look at what he achieved in the 80's, 90's. How can one be so ignorant to write such things? I've read a lot of bull**** from you but this was the best.

I didn't write he was gentleman driver in rallycross, but in rally, yes, you can't really deny this :rolleyes:
