Rallying returns to Chester in 2020

We're delighted to bring back Rallying to the City that has hosted the RAC Rally more times than any other.

On the 28/29th February 2020 the Racecourse will once again come alive to the tunes of Rally Cars dating back 60 years.

The aim is to rekindle memories and hopefully create new ones for fans and crews and also those who've perhaps never seen motorsport up close. The last time we had Rally GB here, an extra 10,000 people came into the city to witness it.

Based at Chester Racecourse on 28th/29th February 2020 it will follow a Friday/Saturday format .

Friday evening will see a moment synonymous with the Network Q Rac rally as the cars will be flagged away from the famous Colin McRae location of 1995 in front of the grandstands . An image that many can recall very vividly, this time it will be under the floodlights. In fact it will be the first time since 1996 that an event will have started there, the follows a light hearted evening do on Friday with a Buffet and Forum including some famous motorsport names.

Saturday is a full days tour which with permissions granted which will see visits to iconic venues such as Chirk Castle, Weston park, Rednal Circuit, Cholmondeley Castle and a secret venue, before a return to the racecourse and a gala dinner on the Saturday evening. We will also be incorporating The Speed and Rally Show at Rednal racetrack.

We hope you can join us in some way and look forward to welcoming you to the City.

Be nice if this event could progress to become something like Eifel or Rally Legend in the coming years..

That’s the long term aim, ideally in 2021 if everything works logistically etc in 2020
