Supplementary regulations for the Star Rally Historic are also out now: http://www.autosport.cz/zavody/soubor.php?f=21907

The most important is the timetable. Aside of the city stage the competitive field will do 6 stages on Saturday afternoon and evening (legends only 5).

Regarding the non-regular foreign drivers we have now Gryazin confirmed and everything looks like Marczyk will come too.

There will be no provisional list. The official one comes out on Monday 18:00 CET.

Maps will come out on Monday too. There are some changes to the stages, especially with the stage Kostelany. 2/3 of the stage were last used in 2008 and even back then these roads were split into two different stages.

I know that deadline of maps 5 August, and I am waiting for them and entries as well. Do you have any info in advance about direction of Pindula which will be back again this year?

Pindula will be run in the most common variant from the past (not like in 2017) and in direction from the west to the east.

Nothing unexpected this time. Anyway 137 + 85 cars mean that we will again have a long night on Friday :D

5x Fabia Evo including Kostka and Wagner.

PS Due to the rules some local R5 drivers have numbers up to 77 ;)

As was previously announced, Global Motorsport CZ (Tomáš Pletka) will present R4 machinery at Barum rally, however only as a static display. After all, there would be chance to see Dacia Sandero R4 build by ASM Motorsport

It's extremely dangerous for people to stay on that place and it would take a long time and many people to get him out. Honestly it's not worth the risk of some dead people imo. Asphalt is a bitch in that.

No chance between the cars. Only if you slow them down and ruin their times.

Moreover the start of the stage is circuit arena, i.e. gaps between cars are uneven and more or less random.

Don't forse me to count all the events, where he retaired due to driver's error.....I have a deep respect for him, he is very very fast, but he is also making huge (read: expensive) mistakes. And a lot of punctures happen due to driver's mistake....

I need a dimviii comment on this one ;)

c3 is not near a fabia at bumpy sections.All fabias are stable,c3 nervous specially at back,and not only at hard brakings at bumpy,but even midcorner.
Pitty that Luky has to compete with this car.
I am pretty sure that Luky with fabia will be almost unbeatable at any surface.
But thats life.Choices with uncertain/small budgets have this kind of decisions

Exactly I wrote this after Gryazins massive off with completely wrong speed in first stage of rally Estonia that he seems to be getting this typical russian rally driver syndrome.
Since then he crashed out early in Rome and had an off with damage that cost him over a minute in Finland, now puncture here.

"Beating" counts after the finish line. Until then it's just a "split time".

While flat-out drivers indeed add "flavor", it used to be typical for "less serious" rally fans to cheer mostly on these. Lately this kind of cheering seems much more common even here. Backing off just a bit and keeping it on the road is seen as a bad trait for a driver.

There is a big difference between an off when the driver just barely crossed the fine margin and when a driver has completely wrong speed in the corner... repeatedly.

I see ERC as an arena to show yourself for WRC potential (and a place for "local" drivers to compare with others). Gryazin has seen much hype lately over other drivers that actually make it to the finish (here that would be Ingram and Mares).

Agree on Mares, it's the progress that's most interesting. Basically every rally he is a little bit faster than the previous one.

The Fabia domination is actually not good. Neither here nor on the european/world stage. We can only hope that they will join WRC with the new rules from 2021 instead of dominating R5.
Wonder what Pech is plannig for next season cause that Fiesta is a disaster this season both in terms of speed and performance.

It's not a penalty. It's an alocated notional time. It looks like Francesci was stopped on the stage for some reason before it was red flagged. Hopefully we'll learn more soon.

Martin Vlček had to undergo non-specified surgery after his crash on SS15. It shall not be too serious but it will take some time to recover for sure. His co-driver Ondřej Krajča was lightly injured.

Furuseth did this rally maybe fourth time. Franceschi was here for the first time, Llarena second time and they were both faster. Torn was here also for the first time. That makes a huge difference here. For me Franceschi was the most impressive driver of the weekend.

Allocation of notional times is made by the clerk of the course, the stewards don’t have any word on this.

From what I have read in the spanish press, Franceschi was stopped in the stage before the red flag was shown to the competitors

Sorry but You can't take results after SS14. It's not working like that. That would be possible only if the stage was canceled for all crews. That was not the case, some 20 or so crews reached the finish. It's simply not possible to have results of one class with 15 stages and of the other with 14. They were all alocated notional times and there is nowhere written that all must get same time as in this case. If Franceschi really had electrical issues and was stopped in the stage before it was red flagged then it's simply an unfortunate case not a wrong CoC decision.

FYI if this happened in WRC everyone would get stage time based on his performance in the first loop i.e. Torn would get time with a puncture and Cais would maybe win.

At least same time for everyone at that class on SS15. technically it was cancelled for R2.
And how the allocated notional time can be exactly + 01:00.0 that makes no sense

Stage was red flagged and cancelled so its same time for everyone on that class, definitely will be appealed. They have do take results after SS14, Franceschi's car issues have nothing do with it.

If I’m not mistaken, decisions of notional times can’t be appealed

Yes, Ingram lost the fight in ERC1 Junior, but he is the new overall leader of ERC!

I dont think they thought it through.

The guy did not start in the first two events. He did only four events while four counts. It means that the guy had zero jokers unlike the others and he still won. No, that's not a mistake of the rules. He made it harder to himself (due to the missing budget coming afaik from Yates's pre-season change of plans).
