Surprised there's no thread on this year's Indy yet.

Fernando Alonso has been denied his chance of the triple crown, having been bumped by Juncos' racing Kyle Kaiser last Sunday.

The Chevy-powered cars have had the advantage in qualifying, taking the first four positions. Best Honda qualifier was rookie Colton Herta in P5.

Row 9 consists entirely of British drivers (Jack Harvey, Jordan King & Ben Hanley), with a fourth one, Pippa Mann, farther down in P30. Mann is also the only female driver in this year's line-up, making her seventh start at the Brickyard.

Favorites once again should be the Penskes, whose Simon Pagenaud won the pole, but as often in Indianapolis, it is not necessarily the favorites who get to drink the milk in the end.

I'm guessing that you and I are the only ones who look in here occasionally now.
