Sorry, PLuto is right. Grzyb starts his season on Canary Islands, not Azores. According to his co-driver Jakub Wrobel, they are going to compete in Canary Islands, Acropolis and Roma. Other rallies will be chosen during the season.

This is what is possible to share. We have to respect what drivers/ teams want and also because there's always some things to resolve until the departure of the ferry in Lisbon. Until then, some will reveal their plans and others only when the entry list is published.

Seems also from it.Motorsport.com:
"Last year's ERC Junior U27 Champion is putting together the program that will see him in action in Class U28 with an R5: for now he has reached the agreement with the team of Rome that will entrust him a couple of times his Fabia.
Chris Ingram has already started working on his 2018 sports program that will see him still in action in the FIA ERC, but in a different category.
Winning the ERC Junior Under 27 Class of the past season on board the official Opel Adam R2, the Briton has secured the € 100,000 prize offered by Eurosport Events, the series's promoter, for the next year in the ERC Junior Class.
The 23-year-old from Manchester immediately started talking to several teams looking for an R5 car (those admitted to the U28) and reached an agreement with Motorsport Italia to run two events aboard the ŠKODA Fabia R5 prepared by the team of Rome.
"For a young driver like me it is very difficult to raise money to run, but thanks to Eurosport Events we managed to find the best prize for this rally category - Ingram said - Winning the ERC Junior Under 27 was absolutely fantastic, a amazing stuff. I can not wait to start again and resume my growth."
Ingram will then be at the start of the Azores Airlines Rallye (22-24 March), first round of the season, then the rest of the program will still have to be defined by the opportunities."

What a fantastic list! Azores is really an amazing event and everybody wants to run it, no matter how far it is. Besides the quantity of top cars, there’s also a huge quality among top drivers, with a large handful of them being able to fight for the win, including Moura and Magalhães. A great start for this year ERC.
Bernardo Sousa confirmed:

Sousa was the nice surprise in the national field. Due to sponsor issues, in 2016 he announced the end of his career but everybody was hoping to see him back, as he’s still young and hugely talented. He’ll run the whole Azorean series.

It may not be easy for Sousa, as he was away for a while and this is his first rally with the DS; besides, his main target is the Azorean championship, not the ERC. On the other hand he’s more used to a flat out pace than a tactical one and may be tempted to match Moura speed, meaning he could be fighting for the top 5. Anyway, it’s great to have him back. Fingers crossed for him.

Winning the Azores Rallye guarantees much more visibility than winning 10 championships in the Azores. We are facing a "war" between two tobacco companies. Either one wants to win. In the remaining events the visibility is almost nil.
No one questions the speed of Bernardo Sousa but we also know that he´s very inconsistent in terms of results.

Chris Ingram on his ERC Skoda R5 drive with Toksport:
”I have been aiming to compete in the top tier of the European Rally Championship for a long time. Thanks to the €100,000 prize fund for winning the ERC Junior U27 title last year it has made that dream a possibility. There were many many discussions and options on the table so It has been an incredibly difficult task to choose the right one.
Having met with Toksport in Germany in February I am very confident with my decision, they are a passionate and top team and their offer was too good to refuse. They want to win as much as me so it makes perfect sense! I can’t wait to drive the Fabia R5 for the first time and to start a new title fight in the Azores next week with the new team and car. The Azores is one of my favourite rallies in the world, however I’ll face a big challenge.”

Ferry was not the problem, all cars arrived in time and were ready for the tests. Bigger problem were lot of delayed or cancelled flights over Europe, so some crews or team members had problems to arrive to Sao Miguel in time.

All stages are in good condition. It rained so much, that the gravel surface is hard and with good traction.

Stage has been resumed. The blocked crews behind Kasperczyk helped to put the car on its wheels; notional times will be given to them.

Kasperczyk actually ended the stage and apparently the car was working ok. Maybe there’s still time to inflict more pain on that car in the current event…btw, it’s fair to say that his main concern was having blocked the road; he kept saying he was sorry for the other crews!
Tomorrow stages are the hardest of the rally. Luky has a good advantage over Moura and Magalhães, but in such tricky stages anything can happen. Even Ingram or Koci can suddenly be ahead. Gago is leading U27; fingers crossed for him!

Great times from Gago and Wagner in Peugeots 208 R2 on SS8 - faster than Tamara Molinaro in Ford Fiesta R5 :)
Tamara was also slowed down by marshall after crash no 32.

Tamara was also slowed down by marshall after crash no 32.
Doesn't change the fact that Tamara has been super slow. Just like Munnings.
This time I totally agree with you. Tamara, Catie and Emma are all in totally wrong class driving.
They all should drive in national field and try to pick atleast some speed.

SS8 times were adjusted so Mārtiņš Sesks back to lead - https://www.fiaerc.com/sesks-reinstated-to-azores-erc-junior-u27-lead/
Eurosport's highlights programmes can be a bit hit and miss but both Azores shows have been pretty good I have to say.

It’s a miracle not happening often, as Açores stages are tricky and narrow. Hope today the organizers will give sensible notional times. The guys blocked yesterday by Kasperczyk in the second pass on Sete Cidades got their first pass time, the one that was covered with fog at the top. Without any fault, they loose 30 to 40s to direct competitors…
At the front it seems positions are now getting stable, but the second loop can still bring surprises. Besides Larsen, Sousa is also out and Vieira is in slow mo due to a damaged rear suspension. The good news is to see Gago back to U27 lead!

I guess top three will just try to hold position going into the final 3 stages. Could be a battle for 4th.

According to Griebel himself they are on a tight budget:

That time came out of nowhere for Kreim on SS13!
According to Griebel himself they are on a tight budget:
https://www.fiaerc.com/griebel-withdraws-from-erc-azores-airlines-rallye/
This is why I asked Pluto on the other thread about the monetary value of his U28 prize.. Ingram's 100,000 euros should buy him two events and I would have thought Griebel's prize was worth more than that..
Molinaro faster than Lukyanuk on SS12... ;)
Well, actually it was quite a good time.. not a proper stage and all but I think she can actually cope with the car, just doesn't 'have the balls' for the proper stages (no pun intended)
