At this rate I totally expect Sunninen to drop 30s on Sunday so that Ogier gets ahead. But yeah, you will surely explain us how its the most fair move ever, just like sweden PS.

For what it's worth, Tänak has repeatedly said in Estonian media that the main reason for leaving was that he had no intention of being nr 2 driver again and let Ogier get all the privileges. Did not show it much but has said that internally it was really frustrating being at the same speed but Ogier getting all the upgrades and parts before him.

First Kassimi drove to first hairpin and parked. Co-driver go out and do something through missing rear window, it's repeat on hill later.
Than Breen have a glitch near same spot and car was rolling and re-setting. Both Citroen have fuel problems.

Now Sunninen slow till a corner, than hardly accelerate.... waving and again slowly into a corner. At stage end explain - he lost a brakes.

Bit old then.

He's a bit old to be a "new find". There are people who are professional high level rally drivers in their 60's. If he started rallying last year and managed to get to the level he is, he would be a new find. Also he is a local expert so he's not exactly championship material. I have a feeling that he, like most, suffers the scandinavian bug of being unable to drive on tarmac for instance.

I'm sure he's fully capable to achieve a good result in NORF wrc 2, but to hail him as a new find is a bit steep.

Few years ago, 25 was young for a rallydriver. And still is, you can stay on top until 40.
Besides, a local expert doing his first NORF? Hardly. I would not count him out yet, until we have seen more of him outside Finland as well

Although he is having first season with R5 car. He did two seasons good times in Finnish Championship with old Mitsu evo9. Before that couple of seasons with Fiesta R2. He has much less rallying experience than Kalle Rovanperä for example.

It's same story as for Tanak, when you was a champion not because you a great driver - but just because all other's make it for you.

Ogier want a better starting position for tomorrow? - Fight for it! be fast and you climb a order and will get better position. Did he do that? - nope. He just wait when Evans bring it to him (last season it was a Tanak).

You think it's a right way to become a world rally champion?
It's same story as for Tanak, when you was a champion not because you a great driver - but just because all other's make it for you.

Ogier want a better starting position for tomorrow? - Fight for it! be fast and you climb a order and will get better position. Did he do that? - nope. He just wait when Evans bring it to him (last season it was a Tanak).

You're acting like a drama queen because of what? Some 3-4 seconds which Evans gave to Ogier? Dear God...

Anyway the job of Nr.2 driver is not to compete with Nr.1 driver. That's why they are called a team and if properly managed they should cooperate to achieve the team's goals. It's really that simple.

Well I don't approve KKS reaction. But Msport is quite ridiculous here.

They made Evans drop so that Ogier gets 6th starting position instead of 5th... really, that's new levels of n1 driver pushing. In Sweden they made Evans drop for ONE point.

What's next? They won't let Evans and Sunninen drive power stages at full speed? They let Sunninen drop 30s here in case he is ahead of Ogier on Sunday?

For the record Neuville lost points to teammates this year in Mexico (Sordo and Mikkelsen ahead overall), and Sweden PS (Mikkelsen on PS). You know how many times Ogier "lost" points to teammates? .... zero.

So after first stage with different starting order, the expected Toyota dominance is starting to show. (not diminishing that Tanak is much faster than his teammates and does excellent job).

Citroen is surprisingly fast.
Hyundai seems to have improved to Fiesta level (obviously for Neuville yesterday and today and Mikkelsen today road position is an issue), but that's still a way off Toyota.
Surprisingly Fiesta that was perhaps on Toyota level last year has not kept up. This would be the one to watch over next few stages for me.

Interesting rally, looks like Ott has now cemented his position as team leader at Toyota. Citroen finally have a proper fast car.

With Ogier and Neuville having a weak rally, if Ott wins he keeps an outside hope to the title open.

And to add: "We clearly used a team instruction Friday with Evans, I do not know if we will do the same with Suninen (note: currently 6th) if necessary." I do not know if Malcolm Wilson, boss of the team , in any case, he's the boss and he knows how to win a championship. We want to fight on a regular basis. If our teammates can not win the championship, Wilson will not let this one escape for one or two units. My memory is little short on this, what happened in Wales '17? I try to find out from the results but they seem confusing.

Nothing that affected Ott`s final result (well, maybe PS points), lifted his foot before the finish of the powerstage.

Latvala is in with a chance of a Toyota 1-2.

Ostberg's car balance has gone and so has his speed.

Suninen nearest to the Toyota's... good speed (with the old aero).

I expected more from neuville. I know it's not the best rally for hyundai and him personally, but getting nothing but 9th or 10th places isn't what a title contender should be capable off.

Lappi on a run! He definitely wants that Paddon position today!

Huge slide at the finish for him O_O
