As the title indicates, a beloved icon from an extraordinary era in motor racing has passed away. He was 86.

Great driver successful in F1, CART, sports cars and NASCAR. Ran his own car and team in F1 and CART. He was the last of that breed.

Farewell to a RACER. He won in almost anything he drove: F1, Le Mans, NASCAR, Can-Am, Indycar. Uniquely he scored debut wins for 3 makes: Brabham, Porsche and Eagle. He then went on to become a successful Indycar entrant, winning Indianapolis 3 times with his Eagles. Plus so much more I can't remember.
