NEWS: Our leader @tomcaverally has stopped in SS3 with a mechanical issue. Looks like the Hyundai is going no further today.

Anyone know what the issue was with Bogie today? Well off the pace.

Interesting to see, even with additional chicanes, on SS1 and SS2 the leading guys were within 3kph of going faster than the bogey time. Closest was Tom Cave on SS2 with a 110.6kph average. The limit is 70mph/112.6kph.

Factory need to get a WRC2 team, so they can get reliability issues sorted!
It has speed, but are soon getting a PSA stamp when nothing is done to fix it!

It'll be interesting to see what Oscar Solberg's day entailed. He lost time on SS1 & 2, fastest with a good time on SS3 before losing 1m40s on SS4. Anyone know what happened there?

Times arriving for SS5. @OsianPryce has took time out of @FredrikAahlin bringing the lead gap down to just 13.8 seconds! Game on! :)

There had been a lot of careful calculation of the required number of chicanes and it appears to have worked; clearly you want no more chicanes than are necessary.

Also note that Bogie is quickest on the stage and could improve his position if he can keep up that pace. Brynildsen is third fastest demonstrating that he could have been fighting for the lead if he hadn't had a mechanical problem yesterday.

Looks like something has happened to Osian in SS6. Dropped almost 2mins. Guessing a puncture?

EDIT: Nope - time corrected. He's taken back more time!

Time entered on the time card at the stage start was wrong; verified over the radio network.

Who sets the limits? They are way too low for modern rallycars.

We had this discussion last year. The event is running on a UK MSA permit and hence is subject to the MSA regulations. I think the bogey regulation is of no value but it will take time to persuade the MSA to remove it. People in positions of influence are working towards getting it removed.

Yes particularly as he is playing his joker on this event.

Handy championship lead for Ahlin now. Intrigued to see what the issues were for Bogie on day one. His pace on day two was next level.

Let's see whether Cave can pull together more budget/rounds. Hope so. Points buffer means Ahlin doesn't need to push so hard now in theory. Consistency wasn't there last season but this looks like being his year.

Ahlin always had the pace and would learn a lot from his 2016 season... that's why he was my choice for the Title.

Burst a brake pipe and only had brakes on three wheels for stages 2 to 4.

The question mark is whether he will have enough pace on the tarmac events at the end of the season.

Results will be provisional at 15:00 and should be final at 15:30.

He should be well clear by then. Plus he had decent tarmac pace last season and wont have to push so hard like he had to against Evans.

Just catching up the results now, shame for Bogie as he was rapid on the latter stages. Good to see Cave and the I20 showing pace as well (albeit for 2 stages).
