Just watch a Breen onboard from SS4. And at 12:00:00 after jump he lands and there was a huge bedrock at the middle of road. Car was in compression and rock was 5-6cm over the road. :( Bad luck.

Sainz/Moya duo also had very detailed pacenotes....
For some it works, for others it doesn't. Perhaps Meeke kept his detailed pacenotes he's always used in slower cars than they are now, and the increased speed might be causing him issues.
Edit: however his crashes aren't exclusively due to pacenotes. He's made much more mistakes himself.

And Meeke onboard aswell on wrc+.
What can I say? - It's not a Meeke fault. In that corner some big lose gravel and back of C3 will drift away to outside, and there was a hill which flip a car.

Not very big mistake, often this kind of touch would do nothing at all, but sometimes it brakes the suspension completely, here it seems it made the rear climb up on the hill. Then again it's the 7th? this season.
I don't think it is pacenote dictation problem,
it's clearly loose gravel in that corner

Hyundai team-orders coming to get Neuville ahead of Paddon tomorrow ?
No need for team orders. It’s great to see Paddon at the top again, but let’s be fair: he got a much favourable road position than Neuville and the Belgian is only 8s behind him.
Great rally from Toyota guys (with Lappi confirming his amazing talent) and Tanak. Bad day for Ogier; the 41s lost to Paddon aren’t surprising, but the 32 to Neuville (2nd on the road) seem a bit too much.
But Ogier’s bad day is nothing compared to Citroen nightmare. Maybe the C3 really has some tech issues (it’d be nice to see Breen’s footage) but sadly there’s no room for doubts on Meeke’s driving issues: he’s a ‘crasher’. On the top there’s also this poor pace from Mikkelsen, the one that was expected to save Citroen…it’s getting hard to see how they’ll manage to turnaround current situation. Still, fingers crossed for them: WRC needs a strong and competitive Citroen team!
Would be nice to see a podium of the 2 Hyundai's & either Mads or Latvala on the 3rd step, would make the championship so much closer if Ogier finishes in the whereabouts he is now.
Oh and yes what only can be described as a dismal day for Citroen, and if we're honest it's really a continuation of a dismal year, don't see how they change things around at least not for this season.
Fantastic times from Lappi almost all day.
Surprise of the rally really!

Still, fingers crossed for them: WRC needs a strong and competitive Citroen team!
very well summed up! exactly what i thought, especially about Ogier....yes, he is first on the road but like you said, look at Neuville, started just behind Ogier and he is way faster than him.

He's saying:
"The car is setup for a bad/slow driving style, have to change it".
Also he looks genuinely suprised when they ask about the balance under braking (like a small boy caught doing something). Probably didn't notice the replay with that part got out. Admits that they "have to work on that".
In a way that's what Ogier did with Ford, complained it didn't suit him (Tanak is more about throwing car sideways into corners) and after going into the dead-end in Argentina where it just didn't turn at low speed (see powerstage replay from there), they changed the diff for him for Portugal and he was back on top.

Is the the corner Meeke went off on? That a flat right from a slow left. A nothing corner. He is following clean lines. Too many off Meeke mistakes look the same. Citroen have a rear torque bias homolgated, every other team 50/50. Im starting to feel sorry for him. In many ways Mikkelson pace is proving this car is not easy to drive. Maybe Meeke is making it look better than it is. Why would Mikkelson want to continue to drive this car.. it could damage his reputation.

Dust a really really bad priblem for Mikkelsen..
mknight
10th June 2017, 06:40
Looking at the Highlights I have to say Breen's issue is also a little bit his fault.
The stone was not in the middle of the road, but rather on the outside and most drivers cut the corner. Yes he was following lines of other drivers but since the stone is clearly visible also on Ogier's onboard it must have also been visible in the recce.
Anyway questions for today:
- How much faster will Ogier get?
- Are Paddon and Østberg able to stay near top?
- Will Lappi and Hanninen keep the pace without that much road position advantage?
- Will Mikkelsen drive faster (even with worse road position)?
