Story in Motorsport News today about Kalle Rovanpera doing WRC2 rounds backed by Pirelli, who will return to the sport in an official capacity.

Story also said he is tipped to join the works Skoda team, but due to them running Michelin he could run a factory spec Pirelli-shod car.

Yes, but only Michelin & DMACK was allowed in 2017. That was the reason and next year WRC2 drivers are able to use also Pirellis...
