Well I'll see if Boothy gets online tomorrow. If not I'll join up with Jon Brown to help him out.

Unfortunately I don't have information about that, but what do you think about the idea of making a 'motorsportforums' F1 season in batracer.

- if it is already taking place, then how long will it last and when may the next season start?
- if there is no such season, then what about playing one such among forum members and which season will we choose (1986, 2002, 2006)?

F1 carset are boring, we stick with BTCC. :D

Luffield
6th December 2006, 09:09
Besides which, I retire enough from the BTCC races, and the 1986 carset is billed on the Batracer front page as having retirements aplenty.

Good choice nik, i'd be tearing what's left of my hair out else!!!! :p

cheers

If anyone is wondering who D Whitewood is, he's a mate of mine. ;) He's a motorsport fanantic and used to succesful at junior kating. (untill the budget went)

PS What is the most effective way of moving the sliders when you get an 'estimation updated' ? Is it by only moving one at a time or do certain aspects have no effect on others so you can change more than one. :s

Jon, when estimation is updated you just move it in the direction that it says. Usually by 8 because then you'll always have even numbers in between and you'll easily be able to find the spot on. For example:
The engineer's advice page says "medium brake bias" so you start at 50.
You get "estimation updated, decrease setting" so you take it to 42. From there you get "estimation updated, increase setting", so you take it up by 4 because that is half way between 50 and 42. Keep going like that until all the runs are spent and do all the sliders that have feedback on each run.
Hope that helps :)

I, personally, don't like the Civic very much. That's why I didn't join your team. Plus I wanted to continue my dedication to the MG :D

Nothing personel nik! I was joining BM, but ..... I'd I thought I'd join Jon to help him out (nothing to do with the Astra!) and I normally start my own team to use my liveries.

How long do we usually have to wait for everyone to sign up?

c8nay
6th December 2006, 22:44
The last time it took 3 days to fill up once the game was posted on the BATracer forum. This time it could take longer as people may cut back on the games they have going because of Christmas.

nik
6th December 2006, 23:06
Oh well, i'll just wait for someone with kool tools to join my team! :cheese:

For you it is nik, I seem to have a fetish for the back of the field at the moment.....

Still at least this forum series has its high points. Pole position and a 1-2 qualy: YAY!

There's 3 drivers in with a shout at the title going into the final round and more batling for 4th and below.

Of the 6 seasons i've been in this is by far the closest fought.

Guess we'll find out how it all pans out tomorrow. Should be fun. Bring on season 7.

racer69
18th January 2007, 11:31
Indeed, amazing to see the title protaginists are in MG's and Peugeot's, not a Vauxhall in sight :(

Been a wierd season for me, not helped in the middle by scoring just 1 point from four races.

Brown, Jon Brow
18th January 2007, 12:03
Vauxhall's have been very quick in qualifying ;) I can't believe that I havn't converted one of my 7 poles into a race win. A bit like Rickard Rydell ehh :p

Will batracer7 be btcc again or something different like A1GP or F1 1986 :?:

jens
19th January 2007, 00:36
I doubt whether I can participate in the next Motorsportforums' private series as now only one private game is allowed simultaneously and I am also engaged with another league... :\

c8nay
19th January 2007, 11:17
That was a great end to an great season. I might not of made good use of the Astra (although as Luke said they didn't seem the same car this year), but taking the win in production with the BMW and no team mate was pretty satisfying. A big well done Passo, our first forum winner since Boothy (BM). So when's the next one starting? :D

Luffield
19th January 2007, 11:22
The was a better season. Well done to my team mate on taking the title firstly and secondly I had no retirements at all which is a miracle.

I didn't have a win either though so I suppose it's fair.

Well done to all who took part. Roll on season 7

So, is anyone going to start a new game?

Hopefully :D

Although my season was ruined by mechanical failure and Accidents it was still good seeing my name at the top of the time sheets in kwolleefying.
I'll get some wins next year ;)

Cheers Luke. Congrats to you too.

Even though we we're a little way off the overall battle, we can count that as a good result.

It was interesting in those last few rounds waiting to see who would be the last to not retire.
