Aren't you supposed to throw a party? Turning 18 is always a special event ( and a nightmare for the neighbours  ).
I wish I were your age since I'll also " add another rose to the life bouquet " on Sunday. But I will cry a bit then I'll pretend that I'm happy and offer drinks, steaks and cakes to family and friends.

I had to go to school on my 18th birthday. It was made even worse by the fact that I'd finished high school and was about to start university...

But as yours is a Sunday you won't have to do that :)

Have a great day :D But is it really necessary to get drunk?

England went out of the World cup on my 18th birthday which meant practically the whole of England was on a complete downer.

I hope your 18th is much better than mine was whatever you end up doing :)

My 18th happened two years ago and I don't remember anything of it! :D

But not because I was drunk, rather because it was so unmemorable. ;(

I was in Greece for my 18th and don't remember a whole lot about it. I'm reliably told that thie midnight swim got rid of most of the Ouzo stains... :erm:

Big party obligatory, I'd have thought. And it's probably just about BBQ weather this weekend.

And don't forget you should buy your first legal drinky!

The world is your oyster when you turn 18. You can go out and do anything, everyone will follow you because it's your 18th. You can spend the day at the beach or go for a walk or do something with your family or go somewhere with friends or fly a kite or go for a bike ride or sit and watch TV or go and watch a film or have a BBQ. Or you can do what I did and go to the pub and get drunk. I know which one I'd choose if I could do it again and it involves a pub and getting drunk. In the end though it's your choice but just be aware that you may regret it for a long time if you do nothing.

I didn't do anything for mine. Sat my final school exam that day and didn't do any celebrating that I can remember. Just another day as far as I see it. :)

Age is all in the mind... my body is 54 but my mind is about 25. :p

Problem is, sometimes my body can't keep up. :(

Whatever you do... just enjoy it. I recomend not getting too ratted, 'cos there's no point having a good time if you can't remember it. In fact... if you can't remember it... how can you be sure you had a good time? :look:

Think yourself lucky I had a meal out with the family, my male relatives got drunk and started singing dirty rugby songs and then my grandpa started chatting up the barmaid who was about 70 and was the most grumpy woman you have ever seen, anyway Happy Birthday for sunday hope you have a great one no matter what you do.

Kneel down and thank God you are only 18. When you get to my age, you'll be so grateful for this advice.

Why not?

Because I'm pretty much politically ignorant? And I don't want to blindly vote for someone just so I can tell people that I voted too either.

I just looked at your sig - I think you'll be able to look after yourself.
Just don't forget this most important rule: if you are out drinking, never take your eyes off your drink.

Well it's your duty to find out who best represents your point of view and vote for them. Then you can proudly tell people that you voted for the person you feel is best for the job.

thanks for the messages lol

Once you become an adult you suddenly change, and become mature and able to look after yourself. If you haven't noticed a sudden change something's wrong :p :

Ah well my lady, get used to not being young. Another two years and you'll be a fifth of a century. You're getting old! I'm already there, my life is effectively over but at least I can warn you to make the most of your time... :p :

By the way, what's the origin of your name?

I think he wondered what's the story behind your name - lilmelvschilton.
My bet s that your name is Mel or Melanie, you are little, and you like harassing even littler boys like Max Chilton. :)

Adults have fun too, but in more sophisticated ways, like reading books about the Crusades, and reading novels like Jane Eyre, and filling in tax forms. Being an adult is definitely still fun :p :
