He has won something like 16 Hungarian championships if I'm not mistaking and performed very well in ERC, he must have been really a great driver. May he rest in peace.

Yes, he was crowned a "Forever Champion" in Hungary, and finished 3rd in the ERC twice I believe. He had the first professional team in Hungary, and had close ties with Renault (he was a semi-works driver, a feat in itself behind the iron curtain), rallying the R8 and R12 Gordinis, later the Gr.B R5 Turbo. Then he switched to Audi (built with the help of Rolf Schmidt), then to Escort Cosworth. He ended his active career with a Mégane Maxi in 1997 I think. He rose to fame when he won a slalom competition with a Wartburg, completing the full course in reverse gear! He was very sick for a long time now. Rest in peace Champion.

Remember him from his regular appearances at long gone Austrian Semperit rallye.

Legend! I'll never forget him when he drove Audi quattro in mid 80' on rally Saturnus in ex-Yugoslavia....
