This photoshop is missing the big change on the lower door side, where there is now a continuous flat area all the way to the front wheel. Makes the car look quite a bit different.

Yes as the WRC is based on the GR Yaris not the standard Yaris hatch.

I'll be surprised if we see it during 2020 unless the Title is gone and they want to get it into proper rally conditions. Otherwise the current car will be more trusted.

Huh, is that the reason we don’t see so many homologated RHD rally cars these days? I assumed your 25,000 production run meant you could homologate either LHD or RHD and only MEM (Proton Iriz) and Prodrive (Mini Countryman) had bothered to do so in recent years...

Features I read on the GR Yaris said it was needed to homologate the WRC car which its based on, with its lower roofline...

I didn´t read it nowhere, It´s the rule.

If they made a basic 3-door Yaris it would be a lot easier to sell 25,000 of them than the GR. But they arent. The 3-door hatch seems to be dead nowadays.

Yep, the normal Yaris is only a 5-door model but, like already mentioned, they just need to make 2.500 3dr Yaris in order to match Gr.A basic body dimensions rules (one of the few limitations of the WRC Kit variant).

Btw, Toyota could make those 3dr units as low tech 2wd versions (just like Peugeot did with the extended bumpers 206’s), but we can only thank them for bringing back to the streets a hot 4wd hatchback!

It's simply because all sponsors have strict requirements of the display of their own logos, with the right colors, backgrounds, etc. Then there's the factor that includes the deal with certain sponsors, where they likely agree on some certain area/size. Once you take those things into account, there's far less room to play with, an enthousiast doesn't have to care about that. :) If you take the current Yaris design, and would be able to only play with the colors used on the sponsor logos/backgrounds of it, you'd have a completely different look already.

super generic results. gotta reinforce some requests to see changes on the results otherwise you always get
this generic car with yellow, red and white colors. you can also choose the style of the image. "cinematic" was my favorite.
