Hello all its time for the results for Round 1. :)

steveaki13
22nd March 2015, 21:16
So I think we all agree it could have been a better race for the opener but there we go.

2015 Australian Grand Prix

Highest Rating: rjbetty - 9/10
Lowest Rating: Taz (2.9) 3/10

The overall rating for the 2015 Australian GP is: 4.91/10

Thanks Steve, I would have rated the German GP 7.3! :dork:

As low as that. It was the best race in F1's history though!!!

Are you referring to the 1968 edition? :mark:
I'm referring to what I would have rated the 2015 race!

I'm referring to what I would have rated the 2015 race!

I am sure the 2015 German Grand Prix is going to be stellar. Different windgusts from various directions are going to compete against each others for the honours, plus a few birds and flies will be racing at very high speeds. A bonus will be a few homeless dogs walking across the circuit, also in their own exciting race.

So fair to say Round 2 was a darn sight better than the opening race of the season.

2015 Malaysian Grand Prix

Highest Rating: Pino - 10/10
Lowest Rating: Slowson 6/10

The overall rating for the 2015 Malaysian GP is: 8.0/10

2015 Season Race Rankings

2. Australia - 4.91

As an Australian. This is disappointing :(

steveaki13
15th April 2015, 22:59
Its a bit early to post this, but with Bahrain about to start in the next few days I thought it would be good to get this done.

Many thanks again to Slowson for opening the Rate the Race thread as I was away for the day at the WEC.

China was average in all respects really and leaves 2 races of 3 being poor races by last seasons standards.

2015 Chinese Grand Prix

Highest Rating: Slowson, Journeyman & Longisland - 7/10
Lowest Rating: N4D13 & Yodasarmpit - 3/10

The overall rating for the 2015 Chinese GP is: 5.33/10

2015 Season Race Rankings

1. Malaysia - 8.00
2. China - 5.33
3. Australia - 4.91

So two average race and one surprisingly good race. I fear Bahrain could be dull too. With Mercedes, Ferrari and Williams going two by two.

steveaki13
26th April 2015, 15:24
So Round 4 done already and a better race than China & Oz.

2015 Bahrain Grand Prix

Highest Rating: 9/10 - Mia
Lowest Rating: 6/10 - yodasarmpit & Storm

The overall rating for the 2015 Bahrain GP is: 7.2/10

2015 Season Race Rankings

1. Malaysia - 8.00
2. Bahrain - 7.20
3. China - 5.33
4. Australia - 4.91

I wonder what Spain will hold.

Tazio
27th April 2015, 00:13
Spain will be about a 6.9 ;)

steveaki13
24th May 2015, 23:36
I forgot to post the results for Spain.

2015 Spanish Grand Prix

Highest Rating: 7.5/10 - Taz
Lowest Rating: 1/10 - Donkey

1. Malaysia - 8.00
2. Bahrain - 7.20
3. China - 5.33
4. Australia - 4.91
5. Spain - 4.27

So Spain goes into 5th out of 5. I don't imagine Monaco will be much better.

steveaki13
8th June 2015, 00:06
So little time these days  Results for Monaco

2015 Monaco Grand Prix

Highest Rating: 10/10 - Journeyman

Clear that F1 2015 is far from a classic season. 4 of 6 races at pretty much under 5/10

[/B][/B]Clear that F1 2015 is far from a classic season. 4 of 6 races at pretty much under 5/10

To be honest, 2015 reminds me one of the most boring season of all times, 2002.

Then we also had one surprising race in Malaysia, where Williams beat Ferrari and got a 1-2. Okay, Schumacher lost front wing, but Williams was really fast there. Barrichello was nowhere near Ralf before his engine failure.

Other than that... Ferrari utterly dominated in 2002, Mercedes dominates in 2015. Then two other teams are almost always in positions from 3th to 6th. With the difference in 2015 the reliability is far better, so indeed those teams lock out top 6. Mind you, in this respect young Valtteri Bottas almost reminds his countryman Räikkönen, sometimes getting a podium. But with far better reliability. In 2002 we had Williams-BMW and McLaren-Mercedes consistently in positions from 3rd to 6th and only reliability problems (had often them back then!) dropped them away from there.

And there is no proper tension at the top either. Hamilton wins most of the time, just like Schumacher back then. At least unlike Barrichello, Rosberg doesn't have an abundance of technical problems, so he is still within a shot of Hamilton points-wise. So the only excitement of 2015 is whether Rosberg can get more fortunate with reliability and actually get close to Hamilton in the points...

steveaki13
10th June 2015, 22:29
I kind of agree Jens.

I hope Rosberg can mix it more as the season goes on because if they can at least fight for races like early 2014 would be something.

Otherwise Lewis wins all races he is good in and Nico wins the occasional one he is good in.

11th June 2015, 21:17
So where to we stand with Canada, that seemed to score pretty low?

steveaki13
14th June 2015, 19:02
So where to we stand with Canada, that seemed to score pretty low?

I can now reveal that answer Schmenke :p

It sees a max score of 10 and minimum of 0.5

2015 Canada Grand Prix

Highest Rating: 10/10 - N.Jones
Lowest Rating: 0.5/10 - AAReagles

The overall rating for the 2015 Canada GP is: 4.61/10

2015 Season Race Rankings

1. Malaysia - 8.00
2. Bahrain - 7.20
3. China - 5.33
4. Australia - 4.91
5. Canada - 4.61
6. Monaco - 4.31
7. Spain - 4.27

Yet another race that was far from a classic. Slots in 5th making 5 of 7 at pretty much under half way.

N. Jones
17th June 2015, 21:24
Bummer. This has been a Mercedes-dominated season and it doesn't look like that is going to change any time soon.

steveaki13
5th July 2015, 12:13
So the Austrian Grand Prix a couple of weeks ago was the eighth round of the championship.

2015 Austrian Grand Prix

Highest Rating: 7.5/10- Longisland
Lowest Rating: 0.5/10 - Donkey

The overall rating for the 2015 Austrian GP is: 5.04/10

2015 Season Race Rankings

1. Malaysia - 8.00
2. Bahrain - 7.20
3. China - 5.33
4. Austria - 5.04
5. Australia - 4.91
6. Canada - 4.61
7. Monaco - 4.31
8. Spain - 4.27

So there we go. Another average race slotting in a whisker over 5/10.

Can Silverstone get into the 6's and be classed as a 2015 classic?

steveaki13
31st July 2015, 00:46

steveaki13
3rd August 2015, 09:27
So Hungary and the summer holidays.

A great race and yet again over recent years Hungary gives a good race.

2015 Hungary Grand Prix

Highest Rating: 10/10- Slowson/ AAReagles

So there we go. Hungary indeed as we all expected smashes number 1 spot for the best race of the season. Still does not quite break the 9 barrier.

Mostly because Kimi retired and mad Mia sad. Never the less. Best race of the Season

Mia 01
3rd August 2015, 14:01
If Kimi wins I Think the score from some Hamilton fans will go down the drain.

steveaki13
31st August 2015, 23:38
So Spa and a classical circuit. Amazingly we all guessed it would not match Hungary.

2015 Belgian Grand Prix

Highest Rating: 9/10 - N. Jones/Starter

The overall rating for the 2015 Belgian GP is: 5.93/10

steveaki13
25th October 2015, 23:24
