Manor Marussia team confirm they will return to F1 at Australian Grand Prix

"They will be racing with a 2014 chassis, though the car “will be 2015-compliant” according to Lowdon, meaning that it meets the safety upgrades required by the FIA, the sport’s governing body"

Good to see them back. You would expect them to be woefully off the pace though. But if they do get their new car ready by the European season, the can possibly catch the tail of the field, and maybe be able to compete with likes of STR and maybe Force India by the midway point of the season.

Good Luck to all involved.

2014 car should have too many reliability issues. SO if the qualify they could get a decent result.

If they qualify is a very good point. I wonder if they will get dispensation if they fall foul of the cut off time?

Well done them. I'm impressed with their recovery. Now they have 6 days to find another driver.

Great news. Look forward to seeing their car actually get out on track and to see who their second driver is.

Would like a change of livery too

Still waiting  Surely there must be someone from this forum who'll be in the vicinity of Melbourne next weekend and at a loose end :)

Leimer in frame for second Manor seat
"But the Swiss newspaper Blick observed: "Fabio Leimer will instead race this year in Japan in the top Super Formula series."

However, it suddenly emerged on Friday that Leimer's deal with the Mugen team ended before a single wheel was turned, for contractual reasons.

Shame on Bernie for now making Manor pay for their travel! After all the work they did to turn it around and get this far.

Shame on him too, for apparently having F1rejects shut down.

Bernie must go. :(

Actually, on this rare occasion Bernie is not so very wrong. It is a bit like someone going to a job interview for a job they have no intention of getting, but need to go to claim their benefits.

Let's just hope things are better in Malaysia.

Guess you're right. Manor shouldn't have bothered trying. They need to just give up and close down.

I think (just my useless opinion) M&M paying for their freight to Melbourne is fair.

Yes they did a lot of excellent work to be in Australia, and they get my unending admiration for their dedication. But since they kinda knew there was no way the could race, they chose to go anyway. They would have been able to stay home and complete the cars in the UK before heading to Malaisia.
