Good publicity for the sponsor, I'm sure, but against such strong competition as is to be found in the BTCC these days they could well struggle.

No surprise after recent events that Infiniti have withdrawn their factory support for the BTCC team. What an utter, unmitigated farce. I've no idea why they got involved in the first place — for a supposedly premium brand, going into a competitive championship with an inexperienced team and rookie drivers always struck me as being on a hiding to nothing.

Indeed. I would have thought this to be a case where the terms of the TBL system ought to end up with the team out on its ear.
