Roy Yates Zodiac Special Saloon (UK)

Hi, I am looking for photographs of a very special Special Saloon that used to appear at Oulton Park and Longridge (to my knowledge - may have been else where too) back in the 70's as I am looking to build a slot car replica of it: Roy Yates' V8-powered Zodiac. You'll find at least one photo of it on Google Images in it's later pink version but I am looking for photo's of the version with Maroon Body and matt black bonnet. Can anyone help please?

Wow - that's a blast from the past. I remember the car at both Oulton & Longridge and recall that even when it was maroon it had a pink perspex rear window. Sadly I haven't got any photgraphs but looking through some old programmes it was maroon up to 1973, it isn't listed in any I have for 1974 and it is listed as pink in an Oulton programme for 8th March 1975.

Thanks Steve, appreciate the reply - I have actually been sent a photo by an old pal of mine, one that used to be on the web but isn't now, if I can figure out how to put it in or attach it to the message I'll do that. I was a big fan of Longridge too.

I have found 5 pictures of it, but all of them are baby-pink with a black nose and a bright green arrow design on it, apart from a black and white shot, that doesn't appear to have the arrow. http://retrorides.proboards.com/thread/91802?page=1
