Hello all,

New to the board, but just wanted to let you know we have written a book on the life of Salt Walther IndyCar, NASCAR and Unlimited Hydroplane driver. The book will cover Salt's life on and off the track and include chapters written by Salt himself. Salt planned to write the entire book but his untimely passing last December prevented that. His long time friend who was helping him and myself are finishing the book.

The book will cover his time growing up in Dayton, OH to his death last December. He discusses the '73 accident in great detail and his recovery that allowed him to return to the track the next year. His main focus on the book was to talk about drug addiction and what it can do to your life. Salt never smoked or did drugs before the accident, being packed in ice and injected with a morphine drip can change your life. The book is for any race fan or non-race fan who would like to understand how a boy from Dayton grew up to be a racer and what can happen when things go bad.

It is scheduled to go on sale on the 22 of November Salt's birthday and will be sold in an e-book format only. For more updates and information you can go to Salt Walther's Blog we have created. http://saltwaltherracing.blogspot.com/
