Sad songs are a Romanian speciality but you don't know them, on the other hand I don't understand English lyrics. Let's try anyway:

Dust in the wind - Kansas
39 - Queen
Sacrifice - Elton John
Layla - Eric Clapton
In the death car - Goran Bregovic
Desenchantee - Mylene Farmer

It's interesting to note that there have been more replies to this thread than to the "Happy Songs" thread!
I'd recommend any song by Evanescence, but "Lost In Paradise" has become my favourite.

I like the version of "Can't You See" Hank Williams Jr. I play it each time I have a disagreement with missus.

No, she's not too much into music. We share a weird love of, mind you, Bryan Adams, though. Am I just falling low in your eyes? ;)

No. I also love Bryan which kinda exasperated Mr. Mintexmemory who thought I abused of mentioning ,,When you're gone'' on Never ending songs..thread :p

Don't know if it's really sad but the lyrics of this song just had a strong emotional impact on my humble person:
Ragazzo solo, Ragazza sola - David Bowie
( the Italian version of Space Oddity)

:p
:s mash: Bowie has disowned Ragazzo solo, Ragazza sola. Apparently did it phonetically and had no idea what he was singing.

:dork:
I know that lyrics were written by somebody else but supposed he was interested in a translation.
Anyway, the song is great. Or I see it as great because of the movie....

Dust in the Wind by Kansas, one of my absolute favourit songs. The video is a crack up - Robbie Steinhardt who plays violin looks just like Chewbacca.
