I really wouldnt fancy camping in Wales in November! Probably best looking for a cheap B&B or maybe a Youth Hostel.

Sleep in the car in the car parks. It's what I and many others do.

I concur, just make sure that you've got a warm sleeping bag and some ear plugs. Slept in the car on the road leading to Dixies a few years ago and had to deal with the wind whistling across the moors, through the door and into my back all night, plus quad bikes and cars riding past what seemed like every 5 minutes. In the end I bit the bullet and just got up an hour earlier than I'd planned.

It is of course the only way to do it. Hotels/ B&B’s are just cheating..... ;)

I’ll never forget the 1996 RAC up in Kielder, must have been -10, and I only turned the engine off about 2 in the morning. Saying that, the icy 2008 RallyGB was a little chilly, but not uncomfortable. However, it’s all part of the event....... having it in September is just a no no.

The 2010 Roger Albert was -13 at Pickering Show Ground. Twas when I found my sleeping bag was only rated for +5
I shall be cheating for 3 nights of WRGB but suspect I will do the Bear Grylls bit at Dyfnant on the Saturday night (after spending the evening cooking, taking some 'anaesthetic' and boiling up for my hot water bottle) - Bacon butties for breakfast on Sunday, very early

Rember the late 90s, early 2000's waking up at Rhondda, with Ice on the inside he car. Which was still there, when it was time to go home.
And who can forget sideways hail, sleat and snow up at Sweetlamb in 2008. The toughest conditions ive ever spectated in.

I remember that, it all started falling so vigorously the moment Mikko rolled in front of us! Crazy moments

September for RallyGB is crazy. The whole idea of it is snow, ice, and terrible weather!

I was there too, saw the crash from the opposite angle! That was a rediculously cold day!

Yes I remember 2008 very well. Was the first time I did gb in 8 years. Managed to blag our way into hafren as media. After the first run got cancelled we ended up watching on a road section between the 2 stages in the forest which was absolutely brilliant!

I remember that well. We were in Hafen first which was cancelled because of the snow/ice. Headed over to Sweetlamb, and the weather was dreadful!!

Yep that's my video. I should've got some of the WRC cars through there but I wanted to get some pics of them, was very entertaining! Remember Sandell in the 207 S2000 nearly put the car off into a ditch :P

Just been looking at the stages again and thinking about going, but the layout really isn't made with spectators in mind. Was thinking of doing Thursday, Friday, Saturday but it's a PITA having to go up north for the Thursday, mid-Wales for the Friday then back north for the Saturday. I know this is a bit personal but I think it would be best to work in one direction and cut down on the road mileage if possible.

Anyway, if I do decide to go what are the stages I should be looking to get to, preferably to see some fast stuff and not be penned in like cattle? Might only do Thursday and Friday, that way I get to see shakedown and qualy, which should mean a good number of passes, and then some proper stuff on the Friday. Problem is that I'll be taking time off work anyway and £66 for 2 day passes is a f***ing lot of money to shell out, especially as I'm unlikely to get more than two chances to see the cars on the Friday. The other option is to just head for Hafren or Myherin and only pay £15 on the gate, risking the remote possibility that they might sell out.

Also is there enough car park space at the shakedown/qualy stage that I'd be able to kip in the car?

Have a look in the other thread. I have posted a download link, I was given for spectating at Hafren. You will be able to buy tickets on the gate no problem. I always do, although im always there early, and sleep in the car.
As I said, if you want to meet up somewhere, then I don't mind showing a couple of good spots.
