Refreshing to see what I hope is the resurgence of Rossi and to see Crutchlow on the podium increasing the number of competitive riders at the pointy end. Gutsy effort by Lorenzo to even ride that soon after an operation.

I only just read that two more competitors died during races on the island on Thursday, Mark Madsen-Mygdal from Douglas as a result of a crash during the 600cc Supersport ‘B’ race on the approach to Stadium Corner during the morning and sidecar passenger Paul Thomas, from Ballasalla who was fatally injured after an incident at Osborne’s on the back section of the circuit on the final lap of the Sidecar Championship race during the afternoon.
Condolences to families and friends.

I hope you get a chance to watch the BSB races Rod, very exciting. Totally unexpected results in race 2. For Lowes, it's a lesson that you shouldn't assume another rider is always going to take exactly the same lines every lap. He made a move to pass Shakey Byrne who'd taken a slightly different line and crashed into the back of him. The move was a bit reckless anyway and could have caused more than bruises and bumps for Shakey. I didn't expect disqualification though, I thought he'd lose a few places. Kiyonari, nowhere in the first race and 3rd in the second due to all the DNFs. Nori Haga + Kawasaki seem to be a good combination and I thought he looked really comfortable on the bike and racing more like the old Nori, particularly in race two, shame he was taken out. So much action, even the commentators were gettng a bit heated.

Chac......Thanks for the update. Wish we in Aus could get the transmission live.
It sounds to me as though Lowes' disqualification was imposed primarily because it was Byrne who suffered the consequences which would have squashed his chances of a title victory.
Nori Haga has always been great to watch. Love the guy's attitude. Nothing seems to ruffle his feathers.
Cheers

Thanks for posting, Rod. Obviously things are pretty quiet here, but it's been a big season and it goes without saying that Marquez has been superb (although Jorge and Dani have of course kept him honest).

A few more thoughts on the year may arrive at a later date.
