Ratings for the NHL playoffs on NBCSN are through the roof and consistently beat MLB in head to head telecasts. Yet when I was watching my Blackhawks against Detroit and L.A. there were woefully little or no promos for IndyCar. Whoever is responsible for this should be slapped.

During the Western Conference finals you have 2 huge media markets in LA and Chicago which both have IndyCar races within 200 miles of their metro areas. People need to know about IndyCar.

The NHL playoffs are the perfect time to be running promos for IndyCar. You have an audience that specifically goes out of its way to FIND NBCSN on their cable lineup and running IndyCar promos during these events is critical to growing IndyCar viewership on this cable channel.

According to the Chicago Sun Times, the NHL's ratings are approaching NFL numbers on NBCSN (Hockey was facing deep freeze, then somehow it caught fire - Chicago Sun-Times (http://www.suntimes.com/20609192-761/hockey-was-facing-deep-freeze-then-somehow-it-caught-fire.html)) Presenting the "show appeal" of IndyCar during these telecasts is of great importance.

The IndyCar promo campaign featuring the "Give Me..." ad spot would let NHL fans tuning into the playoffs, know about IndyCar's superior entertainment and on track product value. GET THOSE PROMOS RUNNING !!!! The Stanley Cup playoffs now switch to the NBC Network so it might be too late for this year for IndyCar to ride the NHL's coattails. :( Another opportunity lost.
