When I read the news on MSport making a S2400, this one comes to mind:
DJM Motorsport || DJM Projects :: McRae R4 (http://www.djm-motorsport.co.uk/McRaeR4.html)

Is the MSport plan a good move for the national scenes around the world, or will the idea crash and burn??

Where will the pricelevel be compared to S2000 or R5, that normally will be the top level option for national championships?

The project seems to be aimed as much towards individual engine sales as car sales.
They're probably aiming at getting into the 2.5L mk2 Escort market which is primarily populated by 2.5L Millingtons, 2.5L (John Reid) Ford Duratecs & 2.4L Vauxhalls.
Its big business in the UK and Ireland and at £23,000 a go Roy Millington certainly seems to be making a good living out of it and lets face it, it wouldn't be like Papa Wilson to turn down the chance to make a few pounds

Also, Roy White in Ireland has put a 2.4 Duratec in his MG S2000 and it certainly seems to go well!

but the car retired on debut, not sure why.
