So, back in November TOCA announced there would be a Jack Sears Trophy for Super 2000 runners, presumably feeling pretty confident that there would at least be a sensible number of them left. But looking at the current prospective entries, its not looking like it will necessarily turn out that way, unless there's a fair few teams yet have even been linked to running S2000 entries.
So far all we have is:
AmD Tuning Volkswagen Golf for Oli Jackson until his Astra is ready.
A Chevrolet Cruze for Joe Girling if he can put the sponsorship together to run with Techspeed
A SEAT Leon for Warren Scott and his BMR Restart team.
Possibly a couple of Vectras run by ES Racing.
So that is only one reasonably firm entry (Warren Scott), a part-season from the VW Golf, maybe expanded to full year if they can find another driver, and then a couple of other possibles. So something between a two and five car grid. IMO Gow must have been expecting a bit more than that to bother, surely?
