Hey guys I am looking to build a car for rallying, and wanted to see about which car you all would think is best. I am planning on building it to race in Group 2 Rally America, meaning it needs to be naturally aspirated, and 2 wheel drive. I was looking at the Bmw E30 along with older civics and other cars. Thanks for the help though.

Take 1 x Honda Civic EG6
Add: Honda B18 (Integra Type R) engine if you're on a budget
Or Honda K20 (2.0L Civic Type R) if you've a few more pounds to spend
Simple!

Thanks! Looks pretty cool not going to lie. What worries me the most is the suspension for sure. Kinda crazy how expensive they get.

You don't really provide enough information of your situation to provide an appropriate answer.
Are you going to work on the car yourself or you have a team of local mechanics to help you etc.
I wonder if you should try something like there is in New Zealand called the BMW race series. BMW E30s converted to race circuit cars, some registered for the road to drive to/ back from the circuit.
After you have speed and handling sorted move onto rallies.

Are you on specialstage or rallyanarchy forums? The guys who built my cage are currently working on a BMW kit basically to get some who is new to rally on to the stages as inexpensively as possible. Let me now if you want more info. They did a very nice job with my car.
