Hi all...

Below is the press release for the Belle Vue (http://www.startrax.info/) meeting on 9th April. But first, there are another two meetings which you may be interested in this weekend. Good Friday sees the F1s at the super quick tarmac oval at Skegness (http://www.skegness-stadium.info/), while Saturday sees Coventry (http://www.coventrymotorspeedway.com/indexsc.htm) open their doors for the first World Championship Qualifier of the season.

This will be motorsport theatre at its best! The Easter Monday [9th April ] 2007 Stock Car Racing season opener at BELLE VUE [Greyhound Stadium] MANCHESTER provides the definitive action packed night of entertainment thrills and excitement for all the family.
Imagine up to 30 mammoth horsepower Stock Cars – all on track – all at the same time, with speeds of up to 70.mph, and where contact and bumpering the opposition out of the way is positively encouraged!

The Easter spectacular is usually the biggest event of the year in Manchester for adrenaline `junkies’ and the best advice is get there early! Gates open at 4.pm with the first race on track at 5.40.pm.

The stadium offers luxurious facilities including massive ALL seater glass fronted grandstands with fast food catering and several bars, covered outside grandstand and atmospheric terracing where you can view the action close up.

Just a quick note for anyone planning on going. Today's meeting has attracted a lot of interest, and could very well be a lock out (as was the case last year) for spectators. The gates open at 4pm, and it would be a good idea to get there as early as possible. Car parking is available at the Showcase Cinema when the stadium car park is full, and this will be patrolled by security.

37 F1s are booked in to race and the F2s are fully booked with 64 cars :eek:
