I agree seems like a hell of a lot longer. I loved his enthusiasm for the speedway and the fans. I felt he brought some of us together after the merger.

RIP champ, you were and will always be a legend.

It's weird. I still think about it a lot, but it does feel like it either happened 10 - 15 years ago or last week, just not last year. The fairly muted end to the season hasn't helped, despite the racing this year actually being pretty good and with a good group of drivers.

Yes, it's weird. His accident goes to my mind every single day... It's even tougher to see him winning the 2011 Indianapolis 500, just because I know he will never win it again.... :(
