Take for example Sonoma.. it is about an hour +++ drive from the SF bay area, there's nothing out there, no hotels , etc ...

So SAT, everybody schleps out there for race 1, its a good race, and in the evening everybody leaves happy and goes home in the surrounding 50 mile radius or back to the City.

SUN, there's another race, bout NOBODY goes because they already went once, it was great, no need to come back, plus its the weekend and even race fans have stuff to do with kids etc. and cannot go back again.

Maybe a new set of fans come out on SUN , but remember the SAT race struggled to get its 10-20K which is about all the fans there are now for ICS (reference LA/ Fontana for the finale). There just are not enough ICS fans, especially in the Bay Area to make two races practical. Remember Sonoma is well over 2 hours drive from the nearest airport (Oak) so the fly in contingent wont be there for the most part. The SUN race will be a ghost town !!!

Getting race count up to meet sponsor commitments. Crappy way to operate but the ISC is survival mode.

You guys don't like it, but I think it will fly well in Toronto. More bang for the buck. Ya, I know it is a bit of a shell game...but it will work up here.
