Will Rohrl be in S.Marino? It's obvius he isn't in the entry list, thoug he was announced. In addition, there's an entry of Dieter-Ilhe with a Quattro S1.
I'd appreciate some info about the 205 T16 driven by Kedward.

I don't know but two years ago Röhrl drove Ihle's Audi Quattro S1.

For what concern the weather (I live near San Marino), this week was typical Octoberish: cloudy and some rain.
More rain is expected for tonight and tomorrow, chances of showers on saturday and finally sunny on saturday.

I hope it's nothing serious for the spectators. I think the FIA has to start being more strict again with safety measures for organizers specially since rally is on the up again. More and more I see people standing on dangerous places in the last months. It's good for the sport more and more people are interested but not at all costs.

Rally Legend has nothing to do with FIA so it doesn't matter what FIA do. It would change nothing

I understand RallyLegend is nowhere near FIA "jurisdiction", however wouldn't it be sensible for the FIA to demand events where FIA homolgated cars run to adopt certain safety requirements?

And between when I was refering to the spectators, I was talking about the injured in the accident, not the consequences that those crashes may have in other spectators, I just now noticed the way I wrote that was not clear at all and perhaps was perceived as being a bit selfish.

There is already FIA safety observer on all FIA events. As we saw in Barum, even the event with one of the best spectator safety measures (according to season FIA review) had its tragic accident. Sure there are events with bad spectator safety like Asturias or Monte Carlo where a lot can be done.
But it's not like FIA does nothing. They prepared new asphalt tyre regulations for all FIA events which shall help to make asphalt driving more predictable and forgiving. Let's see what it brings.

Yes, Ascona 400. They had two Kadetts 16V. One is now in Opel factory museum and they plan to keep this second one for occasional use and for display.

Was on SS2 today which got cancelled and the ambulance went past, haven't heard any news though. Despite all the rest of the cars getting sent through non-competitively, two cars were trying very hard indeed - one the yellow Fiat (forget which model) only backed off when a marshal jumped onto the road and started waving at him! The other was a BMW M3 which had a massively sideways moment causing a family standing behind a fence to run for it as they thought he was going off - luckily not and they only seemed to laugh when I pointed out that it says "dangerous area" on the tape they were behind. It's no wonder spectators get killed at events :(

Walked back to the car and waited for the next run of the stage, thought it wasn't going to go ahead as nobody seemed to arrive until the safety cars about 30 mins before first car, very few spectators arrived and maybe only 8-10 cars parked at the stage start. It might just be that I don't know the stages and have picked really bad spots (even though I walked several km) but I thought it would be a lot busier :\

Will hopefully find some gravel tomorrow and it dries up...
