Hi all,

I know it's a long-shot, but I figured I'd post this both for you guys to see and also for Google searchers to see.

I'm after VHS (or DVD transfers) of all BTCC seasons from 1980-1987. There are some DVD transfers on eBay, but they are vastly over-priced for what they are. I'd much rather pay a premium for an original VHS rather than ten quid for a DVD copy that took less than £1 of material.

If you are someone - or you know someone - who's looking to sell their BTCC tapes, please let me know either here or via PMs.

Thanks for reading!

Michael

I didn't realise you could get copies of DVD's for these years?

1988 was the first year the BBC did regular coverage, so it might be a fruitless search...

1968 and 1987 are available on video. I have seen nothing else.

You can't - But people have converted their VHS copies across to DVD and sometimes sell them.

1980 exists - it's on YouTube: 1980 BTCC Brands Hatch round. - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HAEIYk8lBMc) (There is a full version somewhere which I have downloaded)

I've also seen 1984 on eBay, and 1987 as well.

The 1980 video is not from BBC but is a special tape made for Gordon Spice Racing, commentary by Neville Hay. There is a 1984 video made by Austin-Rover and a short 1985 video made for Ford.

I have all of above plus Donington 1983 (ITV, 36 min), Silverstone (BBC, 13 min, joined in progress) as well as Crystal Palace 1971 (BBC, 16 min, BBCs 100 Greatest Sporting Moments).
