I'm new to this forum, but I'm doing some research for another book I'm writing. So, here's my question:

For those of you who instruct other drivers, why do you do it? Why would you strap yourself into the passenger seat of a car hurtling around a race track? What makes you want to do this (assuming you want to do it, and you're not just doing it to earn some track time yourself)? Why?

I have been a DSA Driving Instructor for over 50 years, for me advantage is self employed ,my own boss and I decide what hours I work. The buzz of getting someone through a test and the nice lifestyle I have too help. How some of these idiots who charge £5 an hour ever think they are going to have a nice lifestyle I don't know.I have been to Palmersport and the Instructors there are working for £80 per day,as I asked one,and they are trying to earn money to live. And hoping to be noticed too !
