Dave, this is my first year I wont be at Mid-Ohio since 2007. Danica isnt racing in it so I spent my money and vacation going to Nationwide races this year to see her. I hope the weather is great and you have a great time!

I can't find any information on Indycar.com, so does anyone know who has grid penalties this time around?

None...yet.

I predict best mathematician will win a race. Very hard for me to get excited for the race with all these gimmicks, what's next? Joystick control from the pits.

hot today at the track but nothing like Indy or Norwalk this year(104 at norwalk on saturday, that was brutal). Action on the track was hot though. Sat at the keyhole for practice today and it great to watch. Will have to do the carousel turn tomorrow for qualifying. ALMS is hot this year too, the new Vipers were something to see and the F2000 cars are good also.

Tags will get a 10 place grid penalty. Mid-Ohio is a great permanent road course, once again thanks DF... Why not going to the IZOD IndyCar World Championships on September 15? Danica is not racing there but she has raced there with NNS this year and it's gonna be exciting for sure. :)

Helio is getting a 10 spot penalty too as Penske decided to change the engine overnight before the race.

I agree. It was my first time watching this race on TV and I thought it was pretty good.

I didn't think it was that exciting but I was not viewing from a great position and lacked a smart phone or binoculars to follow along better

For real? I thought there was a lot of action..

When drivers behind the leader gave up trying to chase him down in order to conserve fuel and the only suspense was whether Pagenaud had enough gas to finish it is NOT exciting to me.

They should get rid of refueling.

Very conservative race especially from Power, I think he is thinking championship.

Good race, but I have to agree the last 16 laps were boring. I was hoping to see some action at the end. Simon Pagenaud is gonna be a new threat, like now! It was nice to see Bourdais comin on as well. I'll bet he gets some great races ahead as well. But overall it was a boring end to the race. When races end this way, it's up to the color men inside and outside the booth to keep the excitement up for the viewers.

I really enjoyed the race -- it seemed like there was more in-the-pack passing than usual for Mid Ohio, though I could be wrong.
