BBC News - Microsoft fixes 'big boobs' coding gaffe (http://www.bbc.com/news/technology-18922629)
teehee.

How offensive is a puerile hex 0xB16B00B5 in code nobody but nerds would see ? http://i46.tinypic.com/hv9ul3.gif
Oh I forgot, this is the country where a nipple on TV causes an outrage...

Good job I don't work for Microsoft, my code is full of puerile donkeys

It is great isn't it. Devs do have a sense of humour after all. It's just as the likes of the BBC got a hold of it that it's 'news'.

Seriously who else but people coding device drivers is going to see this?

It's no more sexist than making your calculator display "BOOBIES". Shame hex has got such a limited character set, the best I could ever get was 50D0FF. Just daft humour, nothing to apologise for.

Ya know, I was just flicking through the Chit Chat listings and saw this thread. "what does that mean?" I thought to myself. So I clicked.

Really? Someone got all het up over that? The world is a strange place, sometimes - and not always in an interesting way. I agree, if the meedja hadn't pretended to be all outraged by this it wouldn't have even raised a ripple...

I'm surprised MicroSoft still does that level of coding in the US.

You'd be surprised about the absolutely normal stuff that some people can get offended and upset about.
