Just what you need to kill the momentum of the series. The casual fan won't ever know when its on?
I know this has been this way for a few years but surely they can do something to keep the series more consistant. Even if the races are three weeks apart. At least we would know when they were on.

Indeed. I make the same argument for F1 always being 2 weeks apart but it seems there are more important considerations.

Maybe they could add just one round in this long summer gap? However, the teams say that this long gap plays to their advantage due to being able to have enough time to upgrade their cars, so while us fans like the idea, the drivers and teams probably wouldn't like it. :(

Hey, don't forget guys, you have to leave enough gap for sporting junk i.e. Tennis, Olympics and Euro 2012 footie. Don't we just love watching them?
I certainly don't.

There was already a round during Euro 2012. So that's not an issue.

It's Le Tour de France time this weekend. Shown on ITV4.
Is it that hard for somebody to check their Sky/cable/Freeview onscreen guide or their TV magazine or even the calendar on the BTCC websites to know when the next round is?

Apparently so cos I never know when they are. And since ITV4 refuse to segment their coverage in the EPG I don't series link it either.

MotorsTV used to split it up into individual races but it wasn't always that accurate when the schedule wandered off course during the day. If ITV would segment off BTCC races and refer to the rest as Support Races or something it would be at least a little bit more helpful.

I'm bored now waiting for touring cars. At least MotoGP is regular.

Except if you then only recorded the BTCC races and there was a safety car you'd miss the end.
In a sport as unpredictable as motor racing having the whole day as a single programme is the best solution for all but a tiny minority of fans.
