Unfortunately we had a slight problem with a small hole in the engine block causing us to DNF on stage 6 today. We were in 8th place and improving when it all went wrong about 1km into stage 6. No rejoin for us so spectating Sunday.

The WA dust looks awesome. The Honda Jazz must be well driven to keep up with the Evos.

We holed the engine on stage 6, so end of weekend for us.

Neal Bates had a valve shim come loose on the transport to the start of heat 2, so pulled over and DNF'd. His Celica is an awesome thing that he has built in his Canberra workshop. If his times were included in the overall 2wd event he was only 0.5 sec per km off Eli in the Honda.

Hopefully we will be back with a new car for Rally SA, looks likely we will miss QLD unless we can get some funding :(
