BRC launches smart phone app (& update)
The MSA British Rally Championship (BRC) is proud to announce the launch of a brand new, custom built smart phone application (app), free to download for iPhones and Android devices.
The new app brings the latest information straight to your pocket, including:
Live results
British Rally Radio
Live driver quotes
Live photos of the cars as they leave stages
News articles
Simply search Android Market or the iTunes App Store for "British Rally Championship"
"It's important that we can get information out to the fans and an app is an ideal way to achieve that." said Mark Taylor, British Rally Championship Manager. "Fans are the lifeblood of our sport and the easier we can make the sport to follow, the better."
The app has been produced by YNiL Ltd who pioneered live photos on Rally Isle of Man and live quotes on Wales Rally GB. "I'm really pleased that we can bring this technology to the British Rally Championship and its followers." said Director, Neil Burgess. "We are working on new features that will be rolling out throughout the year, so watch this space!"
6th March BRC smartphone app update
Don't forget to check you phone for BRC app updates in advance of round two of the MSA British Rally Championship, Bulldog International Rally of North Wales.
The current interim update speeds up the initial loading (front page image has been removed to keep the app nice and small), enables the Bulldog event button (obviously no content yet!) and enables rotation of the screen.
The next release has been submitted for approval and will include:
Addition of a Media section including Radio, Podcasts and Videos
A radio buffering indicator
An improved gallery including swipe between images from Bulldog Rally onwards
Stage information display improvements from Bulldog Rally onwards
Improved cache control
