It was a great weekend at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, California this past weekend. The crowds were high and so were the hopes.

Ryan Briscoe was the fastest driver during the first session and Will Power boasts the fastest speed during the second session. Below is some of the times posted at Sonoma...

3. #28 Ryan Hunter-Reay / 1:18.43
4. #5 EJ Viso / 1:18.50
5. #4 JR Hildebrand / 1:18.73
6. #11 Rubens Barrichello / 1:18.91

Day 2

1. #12 Will Power / 1:16.98
2. #2 Ryan Briscoe / 1:17.02
3. #5 EJ Viso / 1:17.36
4. #11 Rubens Barrichello / 1:17.88
5. #28 Ryan Hunter-Reay / 1:17.89
6. #11 Tony Kanaan / 1:17.91
7. #4 JR Hildebrand / 1:17.97

Just to give you an idea on the speeds of this new car compared to the previous Dallara..

Dario Franchitti has the indycar track record at Infineon with a lap time of 1:16.47. Last year's pole speed in qualifying was a 1:18.8 set by Will Power on the alternate red tires. We could see some low 16's come race time.

And we anxiously await Anthonyvop's admitting that his definitive pronouncement that the new car was going to be so slow was wrong. Cue the crickets chipping.

Yeah, and it's Power.... I want to see Hélio on top again, it has been a while since he was P1 for the last time.:/

We will see shortly at St. Pete. Frankly I will be Happy to see the car faster than the previous Dallara.
