Hope this guy doesn't do the commentary... I have to watch it on mute as in Colombia and its a given that they are **** here but poor you guys in the UK.

Martin Brundle is the only guy who does it right. Even ITV took him to continue coverage. But I think Sky are just in it for the money and could care less for the viewing public.

I did watch this earlier and it was poor, but to be fair this was the first F1 car launch I had seen covered and seemingly hosted live by a TV channel so didn't have anything to compare it with.

I suspect we'll see better from Sky as time goes on, and credit to them for covering this kind of thing. It's their strength in that they can cover more than the BBC could ever justify.

That was bad, but having watched Football, American Sports, Cricket, Rugby and other Motorsports on Sky, which more or less are all covered excellently.

So I hope that this indicates that they will do F1 just as well as they do with other things.

He started full time commentary with ITV he'd only been guest commentator on BBC a couple of times before that.

Not the best commentator in the world, thanks goodness they brought Martin over for the races.

They need to cover F1 very differently from football and other sports IMO. It's a sport that demands intellectual fans and just slapping the basic 'Sky Sports Treatment' on it is not going to cut it. I just hope it isn't an Americanized format where the Sky logo does that dramatic punch into the middle of the screen between every segment and all the presenters continually plug other programmes when they need to fill the space. I've never been that impressed by Sky in the past, but I hope I am proved wrong with this edition.

No, there won't be any commercial breaks during the race.
