Mate, I'm already watching it for almost my whole life via livestreams. Of course I used IndyCar.com in 2008, and partly in 2009 and 2010, but they don't stream anymore. I dunno if it's allowed to post the links to livestreams here, if it's not... I will PM you the weekend before every race for a good livestream. :)

They almost never broadcast IndyCar in The Netherlands. In 2009 they did 9 races and in 2010 a dutch motorsport channel broadcasted every race, with a few exceptions. The commentary was bad, but at least it was in my own language, no commercials and I didn't need to search for a livestream and to connect my laptop to my TV with a HDMI cable.

It seems I have to do the same I've done during the most IndyCar seasons, and that's watching it via a livestream. Because The Netherlands doesn't seem to broadcast it. Hopefully the dutch motorsport channel, who broadcasted almost every race in 2010 will have the rights again. Because they lost them last year just before the start of the season. Hopefully they are getting them back.

Sky HD for UK viewers. For the non-Sky amongst us there are less legitimate ways of viewing. All it takes is a search engine and some imagination.

Sky Sports, once again, hold the rights to Indycar in the UK. However, 2012 is the 2nd year of a two-year deal, so who knows what will happen next year. If 2012 is successful with the new cars, engines, etc then I think Sky will renew their contract. If they don't, perhaps Eurosport or Motors TV might pick it up. Channel 5 or 5USA used to show highlights, but stopped after 2008. If you can't find an online alternative, then Sky is your only option I'm afraid.

As I said, I always have livestreams available... It's not a big deal, and every day before a race, I'm able to send PM's to those who want.... Of course with links in it to good livestreams.

Sky seem to be going big with motorsport in general. It'll be interesting to see how Indycar coverage fares with the arrival of F1, GP2 and GP3.

i don't have a problem with sky having it.
Cancelled my sky sports subscription after vegas... when they asked why I told them indycar season over and I'd resubscribe in March when its back.

Is there any info on the TV channels yet, with 19 days to go? When I go to Sky, and click on Motorsport Live on Sky it says.. nothing!

Keith Heuwen tweeted that the first Indycar race of the season would be shown live on Sky Sports F1 HD. Could be interesting to see what they do with Indycar coverage this year. I wonder if they'll try to enhance it, given their increased level of motorsport coverage in general?

Is Indycar going to be repeated on Sky Sports 1?

If sky shwed F1 Indy cars and nascar on its channel then I might be tempted. Would be grudge paying them though.

I think they are missing a trick there just having the first race and not the whole season. I wasn't going to subscribe to Sky Sports before, I'm still not now.

considering all they are showing on Sky F1 at the moment is a constant repeats of the aussie gp, you'd think they'd move all their current motorsports onto the channel to fill up the airtime....

Hi wonder how many times the Indycar race will be repeated, compared to the Malysian GP. Be nice to see Indycar on SkyF1 full time. I follow the sport, but only ever watch the 500 up my dads house.

big_sw2000 am I your dad??????

Gutted I can't watch Indy Cars on the internet at least. If it ws gaurnteed to be on Sky 1 or 2 I might consider it even if I cant justify the cost. Really enjoyed the bbc coverage of F1, just hated not seeing it live and having to avoid the news and everyone else for the day that might tell me the results.

Wish 5USA would show a highlight show as they did a few years ago, tie it in with a NASCAR highlght show I'd be happy with that.
