The TH Motorsport Skoda looks in doubt since at the beginning of January the team put out a series of Tweets (http://twitter.com/#!/TH_Motorsport/status/157119809295884288) saying they had lost a major backer. A real shame to have lost RML.

Has there been any official confirmation of the Rob Austin Audis, the Dynojet Avensis or Motorbase yet?

Motorbase's team manager, Olly Collins did say they are planning on running three Focuses Oly Collins Interview January 2012 (http://www.motorbaseperformance.co.uk/press-releases/2012/oly-collins-interview-jan-2012.html)
Rob Austin Racing have been posting fairly regular comments on their Facebook page about the updates they are doing to their Audis.

Wow.... what a weak field... I'm struggling to build up any excitment for this season, we may get some close racing at the front come mid season but until then, Honda congratulations...

60% are wealthy club racers.... I mean christ, one of the best teams and half a driver line up.. No disrespect. We may have quantity...but very little quality now! BTCC died at the end of 2009

Unfortunately not. Still quite a few weeks until the Media Day, we'll get to see how it all plays out.

Know what you mean, but sometimes they can surprise. I would have dismissed Nick Foster as such last season, but he well and truly proved that impression wrong.

It says "will be driven by a multi championship winning touring car driver"

Also says "run by a team famous for putting the Nissan Primera on the top spot of the podium in the BTCC in 1998"

Well doesn't that suggest it's Matt Neal with Team Dynamics? Unless they are fielding another car... Guesses..Thompson..Menu...Gio?

I would have said RML were more famous for the 1998 Nissan success wit the factory team than Dynamics were! As for driers? Turkington, Gio, Thompson?

Maybe you could be right, would be nice to see RML back.

I did think it could be RML but they ran the Primera's from 1997-99 and it says "famous for putting the Nissan Primera on the top spot of the podium in the BTCC in 1998" Unless they meant 1999 i'm not sure...

Matt Neal's first race win — indeed, first podium — was in 1999, not '98.

The telephone number given in the advert is that of one Richard Hawken, who runs Richspeed — New Page 3 (http://www.richardhawken.com/)

I know that, You know that. The guy on post #15 didn't.

Just replying to his question.

Although I could have miss-interpreted the question??

Can some privateer run the Chevys?

Now if his question was 'Are Privateers ALLOWED to run the Chevy?

Then, Yes. If they have bought the car, nothing stopping them. They don't need to pay for a RML engineer at each meeting because they are putting the TOCA/Swindon engine in it.

VkmSpouge

I hope Richard Hawken will be able to get the money to run the car, it'll be interesting to see the Chevy with a Swindon turbo engine.
