There is a thread on the BRF about the above. Would be nice of us to share our memories of Andy Burtons awesome machine, and show the rest of the world what they missed out on.

Here's my favourite moment of seeing the great car/man - Bulldog Rally 2007 in Dyfnant;

My favourite spot in the world (shame they didn't use that bit of road on Rally GB!!), and my favourite car. It gives such a sense of speed. All my friends that I took to see the Beast were as excited as I was when we heard it come from miles away, and when it came past we had all wet out pants!! Beautiful.

Thanks to Mrs Burton I had the pleasure of sitting in the car at Goodwood 2009, what a machine. No words can describe the feeling I have for this car. Thank you Andy Burton.....please build another which will stick a finger up to the MSA and keep us all entertained.

Shame on you MSA for banning this innovative, spectacular, quick, awesome sounding car!

Changing regulations relating to self-built projects. That said David Kynaston is apparently still running his A3 next year, which isn't a completely dis-similar project.

Im still as pissed off about it as when it was confirmed that it was banned!

There really is (or was) nothing like it and no other machine created such excitement and anticipation. On the Wyedean this year the stages were packed and id never felt a buzz like it was people waited for the beast to appear!

If anyone has any pictures they would like to add to my Flickr group it would be massively appreciated by alot of people. I would especially like to see some more pictures of the car in tarmac spec from the Manx if possible!

I still find it hard to believe, and the utter stupidity of the decision. It will be strange come the Wyedean - Focus WRC's, and endless GpN Lancer/ Imprezas don't cut the mustard!
