I've seen a copy of one particular test driver's contact with a front running team. Sorry, but your figures dont quite add up. :laugh:

I'm sure there are more costs involved than just a driver - crew wages, flights, hotels, parts...

I wouldn't mind paying 300k to drive (and most definitely wreck) a Ferrari.

You simply can't do it just for fun. However there is a company which will let you drive an F1 like car. There were on Top Gear a few months back.

Doesn't seem much really.

In years gone past plenty of drivers have just payed to womble around the back of the field. Times must have changed.
